Apparently Loch Ness has been voted the top “wish list” destination in the UK.

Late summer sunshine and blue skies today meant an opportunity to cut the grass and footpaths around the lochan. Great to be outside in the fresh air.

Here, at Glen Nairn, we have created seating areas around the grounds where guests staying at Lochan View can sit, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet whilst enjoying the views.
Our latest one is overlooking the lochan, not far from the apartment, and ideal spot for a picnic.
Our seating area at the water falls is very popular with our guests, as is our flower garden.

Looks like Ming, one of the Mandarin ducks, has taken a liking to our owl box. Hopefully the female will be inside hatching her eggs!!

We are delighted to announce that Lochan View @ Glen Nairn has now been granted their Short Term Letting Licence as in Scotland there is a new licensing scheme for hosts who let out accommodation to guests who stay on a temporary basis.
This is to ensure that the accommodation meets mandatory conditions set by the local council.

Just a short stroll through the woods from our Lochan View apartment is the River Nairn and our new seating area on the bank at the waterfalls.
It’s the perfect place for a picnic, to relax and enjoy the sound of the falls.
