Playful otters caught by wildlife camera on an island in the lochan at Glen Nairn. On the right you can see a third one carrying a fish.
With all the rain we have had (and still having) the falls on the river Nairn at Glen Nairn are flowing fast and full.
Looks like Ming, one of the Mandarin ducks, has taken a liking to our owl box. Hopefully the female will be inside hatching her eggs!!
This is your view from the balcony, should you choose to stay at Lochan View @ Glen Nairn.
(Weather not guaranteed 😀 though).
We only have a few dates left for August and short breaks can be arranged for Autumn/Winter.
Availability for 2024 will be published shortly on www.holidaycottages.co.uk.
The return of Ming to Glen Nairn
Feathered guest
Looks like our feathered visitor has settled into its accommodation and, like guests staying at Lochan View, enjoys watching the deer.
A walk through the woods
Just a short stroll through the woods from our Lochan View apartment is the River Nairn and our new seating area on the bank at the waterfalls.
It’s the perfect place for a picnic, to relax and enjoy the sound of the falls.
Just hope our latest arrival at Glen Nairn likes the accommodation and view from the balcony as much as the guests staying at Lochan View!
Beautiful springlike day here at Glen Nairn today. The birds are in fine voice and the snowdrops have appeared in time to welcome the next guests to stay at Lochan View.
A leisurely walk through the woods at Glen Nairn this morning and the falls on the river Nairn are running well after yesterday’s rain.
Who doesn’t like snuggling up by the fire at this time of year, especially if you’ve been out walking, cycling, sightseeing, shopping or whatever else you like to do on your holidays?
You can do just that at Lochan View when you book a well deserved winter break!
