You may be wondering why first flush is such a big deal? Well, as the tea plants emerge from their winter slumber, all the nutrients absorbed over this dormant period are put into the new first spring growth. Which means all the goodness stored over winter are released into these precious new leaves. This is the first flush.

Warming malt notes greet your senses, even before the water washes over the leaves. As the water unravels this golden tea, the light malt scent intensifies.
On the tongue this tea offers light and sweet apricot notes wrapped in a gentle black tea robe.

Straight from the lush Scottish Highlands, this smooth black tea is fresh as production finished in May 2024. Teas mellow with age, especially in the first few months, so it may become even smoother. Which after tasting it is somewhat surprising as it is such an incredibly smooth tea already.

The Rewilding Centre at Dundreggan, just west of Invermoriston and about an hour's drive from Tomich Holidays is well worth a visit. Here you can learn about the re-generation of the natural forest, walk a variety of woodland trails, join a bushcraft, woodcraft or photography workshop, immerse yourself in the Gaelic culture of the area or simply relax in the amazing cafe. Can you spot all the wildlife in the recycled metal work tree, some of which came from Guisachan?

Guisachan is a great place to visit, especially in the aftermath of Storm Ashley. There are plenty of waterfalls to admire a short drive from Tomich Holidays - Plodda Falls, Home Falls, Badger Falls and Dog Falls - all flowing fast today, plus an array of fungal wonders.
