🔵 It's Blue Monday today!
So-called as it's supposed to be the most depressing day of the year.
Some base this on the post-Christmas hangover, the January credit card statement, the middle of winter weather, or maybe all those failed resolutions! 🤦‍♀️
But, the idea of 'Blue Monday' was first introduced in 2004 by a UK travel company as part of a marketing campaign to get people to book holidays!

So, don't believe the hype! Today might be the Mondayest of all Mondays, but it's no reason to buy into the 'blueness'!

We've had a few requests, so we want to know if Miele's deliveries would be something you'd like to see us do on Just Eat around Inverness......YOU DECIDE 💛 Comment below, share & please have a quick read below too!

There's a lot of work to go in to get it set up, so here's what to know....

🍦 We would aim to ensure quality during deliveries - that produce arrives at your door as you'd expect!

(we understand you know most of this already 😅)

🍦Sometimes, it may take longer to get to you than if you were to come to the parlour, due to driver availability and demand.

🍦There will be a slight restriction on products available, some goods/specials will be shop exclusive, due to it's ability to be delivered.

🍦Costs, due to delivery and percentages from the Just Eat app etc, some products will be slightly more expensive to allow delivery to work...we feel we've always been fairly priced compared to many tourist destinations - our local support come first 💛💪We would make sure to keep this fairly priced.

🍦We are slightly hesitant on making the plunge, but if you want it, we will go for it and appreciate your support as we find our feet ❤️

As many of you will now know, today is the day we start our journey with our 2025 Charity of the Year (see our post from earlier this afternoon for more info).

With that, it brings a close to our journey with our 2024 Charity of the Year, the truly wonderful Highland Action For Little Ones - Halo.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce today that having worked with Halo throughout 2024, through the power of this incredible network, we raised a HUGE

🤩 £8,000!!! 🤩

We also had over 2500 items donated (toiletries, clothing, prams, computer equipment among many other things...).

Through connections facilitated through HBW, a further £3,722.22 was also raised for Halo by following:

Inverness community beat officers and traffic officers worked together this morning to carry out road safety checks around Hilton primary school in Inverness to enforce speed limits and target dangerous parking on school zig zags. Several motorists were warned about their speed and other motorists offered words of advice regarding parking on zig zags.

Inverness community beat officers will be carrying out further road safety checks around schools across the city of Inverness in the coming weeks to ensure the safety of children going to and from schools.
