Yesterday was a truly epic day as OnVenture delivered the Three Counties - Seven Piers cycle ride to raise money and awareness for Suffolk Mind, Norfolk and Waveney Mind and Mid and North East Essex Mind.

The ride started at Great Yarmouth and headed south along the stunning east coast to Lowestoft, Southwold, Felixstowe, Harwich, Walton, and finishing in sunny (and windy) Clacton!

The unique and challenging part of the ride was the Harwich Harbour Ferry Crossing from Felixstowe to Harwich, which required riders to plan ahead and consider their pace to make the crossing times.

All the riders did incredibly well, working very hard and very much enjoyed the refreshment stops at Walberswick and Landguard Fort.

A big thank you to all the supporters on-route, the charity volunteers, Landguard Fort for use of the courtyard for the lunch stop (please do visit the Fort, great for a day out) , the Harwich Harbour Ferry Services, and Clacton Pier.

Working with the three Mind charities on the Three Counties - Seven Piers cycle ride was a pleasure.

The OnVenture team was out this morning completing an important recce ahead of our second big event of the year next week.

A good 81 miles enjoyed in Suffolk and Essex, in surprising great weather.

On Sunday, the OnVenture team delivered our first cycling event of the year, the Shop Shop 100 for St Elizabeth Hospice. What a day it was!

The scorching weather made the ride even more challenging, but all the riders performed incredibly well, fueled by our refreshment and lunch stops.

The successful delivery of this event results from countless hours of work and planning behind the scenes, as well as a great collaboration between OnVenture and the fantastic team at St Elizabeth Hospice.

We want to express a huge thank you to all the volunteers who played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe running of the event.

As the last rider crossed the finish line after a very long day and weekend for everyone, we were truly amazed to be told that the event had raised over £6,000 for the hospice. That, above everything else, makes us feel incredibly proud.

On to the next event now in June!

Busy day for the OnVenture team running a recce for a planned 100 mile cycle event we are delivering in May.

Our focus is always on safety, so we check and record every major junction ahead of events.

The team at OnVenture wants to congratulate Julien Deneyer for being the first person to complete the Enduroman Arch 2 Arc for the second time and reclaiming his World Record by just 1 minute!

In a total time of 49hrs 23mins, it shows how every minute counts.

We are in awe and inspired by this incredible performance.

Simply an incredible performance by Kelvin Kiptum at the Chicago marathon.

Even for seasoned runners, who live and breathe split times and pace data, a time of two hours 35 seconds to complete a full marathon is very hard to comprehend and understand.

Just imagine the fitness, strength, consistency, technique, training, focus........ everything that goes into producing such a time.

And a big shout out to Sifan Hassan, who set the second-fastest women's time in marathon history of 2:13:44.

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Ipswich Half Marathon 2023.

Thank you to the team at Jane Tomlinson's Run For All for organising and all the volunteers who supported the event.

The OnVenture team had a great day running the water station at Bourne Park. We enjoyed playing our part, meeting and cheering on the runners and opening hundreds of water bottles!

We witnessed so much positive energy all morning, especially after the runners returned from Freston Hill!

We saw many familiar faces, charities and good causes being supported, and representation from many running clubs, including Ipswich Jaffa Running Club, Felixstowe Road Runners, Stowmarket Striders Running Club, Woodbridge Shufflers, Ipswich Harriers, Kesgrave Kruisers Running Club, Rushmere Community Runners and many more!

A huge well done! Now, following a well-deserved rest, the big question is, what's next???
