The client had some unlucky news when we had that storm and her roughcast fell off.

We had the scaffold materials and fully redone in less than a week to save them getting any dampness internally

Welcome to 2025

Cutting out the areas was loose with a sand stone grinder. Repointing with a flexible high polymer material. Bad dampness occurring due to this panel being open to the elements and old pointing falling apart.

Nothings a problem. Only solutions

Drill and plugging (with umbrella shaped raw plugs) as a fresh key with a wire lath mesh to secure the old background that was solid to the wall. This original smooth render does not act as a good key as a top coat as it is a smooth render. This mesh gives the background a lifetime piece of security that can not crack/become loose to the wall or have any problems over years. This method can be used in almost every background including sandstone !

Need to keep warm some how. It was a cold big place :-)
