And so the time comes, the end of an era. 🥲
This week marks the last week of both Ian and Darryl working at the Centre. With Ian, Centre Manager, dedicating 16 years of working for AOEC and Daz, Senior Instructor, 14 years.
Throughout this time you have both inspired and helped so many people, from young people who have came to the Centre, SQA candidates to Duke of Edinburgh - the list goes on! Your work in outdoor education has been invaluable. Not only that but also your work in the community & running the Island resilience hub, particularly throughout the COVID pandemic.
You will both be hugely missed, by not only the Centre staff team but also the hundreds of teaching staff from across North Ayrshire that you have both built such strong relationships with, as well as the rest of our colleagues within NAC.
Thank you for everything you have both given to the Centre over the years, the support to all of our team, the commitment and dedication to the Centre and the knowledge/skills that you leave us with to continue with the amazing experiences that the Centre provides to so many people that come through the door.
We wish you all the best for the future. 🫶🏼✨

The Centre staff team would like to say a huge thank you to Tamara, for her 12 years of hard work at the Centre. Tamara initially started as a member of our domestic staff team before venturing into the kitchen, cooking thousands of meals along the way. Anyone that has stayed at the Centre during that time will know how amazing Tamara's cooking and baking is. We will all miss you and wish you all the best for the future 🤗❤️

Over the last few years we have been working hard to expand our winter activity program when the weather allows and it certainly did today! here are the Arran Primary’s returning to the centre after exploring the many caves and shoreline of Holy Isle as part of the John Muir award!!
