We have the possibility to change the single beds in the double room into another king-size bed or add an additional single bed if needed. We also have the sofa bed located in the front room. If you have any additional needs we will be happy to try and work with you to accommodate these.

Travel cot is also available.

Looking for a peaceful and relaxing break, The Annex has what you need.

With lush scenery, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, amazing dark skies, northern lights (if you are lucky), forest walks on the doorstep, fully enclosed private garden with hot tub and fire pit.

Lots of local history to visit and explore as well as lovely walks, beautiful waterfalls, plenty of fab cafes and dog friendly pubs all nearby.

We are the first holiday let over the Northumberland/Scottish Border (2 min drive) or last if you are heading south.

Of course dog friendly with some lively Spanners of our own. Happy to take more than 3 if requested.

New year's day and we have snow. Just a little taste of what you might get if you come stay with us between now and spring. Beautiful sunset tonight too, stars starting to twinkle through too. Pictures don't show the true beauty.

Happy New Year from Carterhouse Accomodation!

We are finally up and running at The Annex and look forward to meeting you hopefully this year!

With lush scenery, sunsets, sunrises, amazing dark skies, forest walks and fully enclosed private garden with your own hot tub the Annex await you. Jedburgh, home to Mary Queen of Scots, is just a 15/20 minute drive. There you can visit the Abbey, Mary Queen of Scots home, many quaint little shops and lovely cafes. We also have Edinburgh Wool and Jedburgh Wool, both also have cafes. Border Meringues is highly recommended, warm and friendly with fab food and cakes.

Hawick, home of Cashmere, around 20 minutes in the other direction. Kielder forest and water are just around 20 minutes drive too. If you fancy bigger shops, Galashiels is about a 40 minute drive. Edinburgh just an hour away as well as Carlisle, Newcastle and many other places.

Northumberland is a 2 minute drive up to the border where you can stop and take in the breathtaking views. Theres so many places to see and visit, you will be spoilt for choice.

It's been a busy week with arrivals this week, 10 chickens (who have laid eggs from day 1) and Bob the rescue. Bob taking his new duties seriously in the digger today. Fences have been fixed, the ride on mower finally fixed and dry enough to cut the arboretum and the garden, some fields cut. Enjoying harvesting our own grown foods too, lettuces, cucumbers, tomatoes, chillies and peppers so far. Have a lovely weekend everyone!
