Lovely to see access to Lossiemouth East Beach restored and people enjoying it once again.

Build it and he will come…. This is a very unscientific way to work out the bridge’s popularity but here goes…. At 1 o’clock today for a 10 minute period 175 crossed on to the beach… that is 1050 in an hour….. now accepting that this would be the busiest part of the day I don’t think it is an exaggeration to assume in the region of 5000 will cross the bridge on to the beach today…. We will try to fit a beam counter to get more accurate figures in the future…

The ‘Castle Bothy’ and ‘Castle Byre’ are Architect designed apartments created out of former barns at historic Parkhead Farm. With underfloor heating and well appointed accommodation these are ideal as a cosy base or relaxing space for couples or small groups of friends wishing to visit the area.
