On a visit last year to Selkirk Distillers we got an early taster of their latest creation, a Cask Aged Gin. 6 months later and it's here at last....

Wonderful day on Friday visiting Selkirk Distillers. Was lovely to meet Alan and Jane who are clearly passionate about their products and rightly so.
The Bannock Gin is wonderful and the Selkirk Gin is absolutely divine and such a clean fresh taste.
We highly recommend our guests book a visit to see Alan and Jane and sample their local gins of distinction.
Many thanks guys for making us so welcome.

It's been a bit of a strange year so far with lockdowns, furlough and social distancing being just some adjustments we are all having to deal with. We do hope you are all well and coping with the changes we are all making to keep us all safe during this challenging time.

We take great pride in being able to share our beautiful home and strive to make our guests stay as memorable as possible.

Perfect break. A beautiful cottage with an amazing garden set in a lovely location. We had a relaxing break with fantastic facilities the attention to detail and guest comfort is of an exceptional standard. The cottage is in a great place for explore the Scottish Borders. The communication with the hosts was easy and efficient. We would definitely return again and can highly recommend.

Exactly what the doctor ordered... We’ve returned to Gateshaw Cottage now probably 5 or 6 times and after the stress of the past year it seemed like the only place to escape to. There are 2 reasons for visiting Gateshaw: firstly the peace, tranquility and energy in this place is unmatched. There is something truly magical in the way it forces you to switch off. The view from the beautiful garden, the sound of the birds and the stream and general tranquility allow you to fully relax and recharge. Secondly it’s the attention to detail to be found inside the cottage. The owners have really understood what is important to the modern, discerning traveller. The welcome pack is thoughtful and relevant, the bedding is hotel standard and the toiletries luxurious. Combine this with fast WiFi, usb chargers, modern appliances, high quality bathrooms you realise they have thought of everything. We can’t wait to go back in winter and use the log burner. Thanks for a much needed rest.

What a fantastic break the cottage was beautiful with everything you could want for a comfortable stay. The facilities are amazing. I loved watching the birds made more fun as binoculars and bird books were provided.
We would definitely love to visit again soon.

We had a lovely family break in Gateshaw cottage. It was just what we needed to get away from the troubles of 2020. As soon as you arrive you relax, it is so peaceful and have stunning views. The only sounds we heard were from the wildlife. My daughter loved the amazing tree house in the garden.
Great location for exploring the borders and Northumberland. We visited Edinburgh one day which was a lovely day out and just a short train journey away.
The house is traditional and beautifully decorated. So many lovely touches from the hosts. We cant wait to return.

This place has it all. Cosy - the lounge with fireplace for winter nights... a beautiful bright kitchen overlooking the garden then rolling hills behind. Certainly a place to recharge and relax. Also amazing hosts, helpful, responsive - simply a delight. Finally the local area is stunning - open countryside, farms and border towns. What’s not to like. Thank you.
