Time for Odin to travel to Norfolk on his next adventure.

He's being used to visit close family whilst they introduce a new born baby into the world (hopefully being "delivered" next week)

Our Motorhomes can provide the most perfect alternative for creating extra living space for any occasion.

We love the fact that Odin is being used to bring family together at such a special time in life. ❤️

Day 7, travelled further south for our last day in Scotland, took a slightly more scenic route and found a beautiful little town called Melrose, which has a beautiful ruin of an Abbey which has history back to the Vikings and is rumoured to have had Robert the Bruce's heart buried there. Plenty of small little shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes. A local walk takes you along the river Tweed and past Melrose RFC the home to Rugby 7's, what a fantastic set up they have, enjoyed watching them in preseason training. The campsite we are on is only small but very well-equipped. Back in the Motorhome after a great bar meal which offers 10% off to all campsite users! We have truly had the most epic adventure doing the NC 500 and are already talking about when we can do it again. This trip was absolutely spare of the moment, we hadn't booked any sites,.we had no idea where we were heading, we just went for it. There are definitely places where we want to spend more time exploring and wouldn't want to do the amount of miles we have done each day....we've had a reki,.now to plan the next NC 500 trip. It can be done in 7 nights but 10/14 more realistic. Once again, please message for prices and let hiring from Eventyr Motorhome Hire be the start of your own epic journey.

Day 6, bittersweet, sad to be leaving the NC 500 and heading back south but what breath taking views along the way. Applecross route is NOT for motorhomes, however the scenic route that is offered as an alternative is mega spectacular. Very rural but the scenery that surrounds your way home toward the Highlands is mesmerising. The sea lochs, the towering majestic mountains and the endless winding roads, really give the NC 500 the farewell that it deserves. We have found a very different campsite in Aviemore than what we have been used to for the past few days, based in a forest with no seaviews. There's a great sense of cosiness and comfort that it gives, allowing time for reflection, conversation and a true appreciation of what you have experienced of your time travelling the NC 500.
Thanks for all the likes and shares, please continue to do so, we've been blown away by the amount of views our posts have been receiving. We're not professional travellers and won't ever claim to be, we're just people who love the country where we live and will never tire of seeing what it has to offer. ❤️

Day 5, as if we weren't spoilt enough yesterday the NC 500 is a gift that keeps on giving. First stop happened to be a few minutes down the road to the spectacular Smoo Cave,.not only stunning from the inside but just as much for the cove that it sits at the end of, definitely recommend the short walk to the end of the coastline as you are greated with unbelievable rock formations and the dramatic blue, clear sea. Followed the A838 to another village called Scourie where we stopped for fuel, not many places on this stretch to refuel. Our journey continued south were we left the traditional NC 500 route and headed to the most gorgeous of white sanded beach, blue, clear waters and dramatic rocks which take your breath away. Clachtoll Beach is an absolute must see place.Be warned the roads to this paradise present a challenge as they are mainly single track and you need to be prepared to use the passing places but are totally achievable in a Motorhome. Take your time and soak in the wonders of this part of the world. Plenty of mountain ranges and lochs of all shapes and wonderful sizes accompany you along the way. We then followed the main route to tonights campsite Ardmair which is just before Ullapool with all Motorhome pitches facing the most elegant of sea lochs. We'll let you look at some photographs from todays epic adventure. Please like and share, message for details of our hire Motorhomes.

Day 4, wow, wow and wow. Really struggling to find the words to describe what we've seen today and feeling that if we did, it really wouldn't do the scenery any justice. We have never been in the Motorhome and been so excited to see what is "just around the corner" there is so much beauty in the coastline and then on the opposite side of the road, such amazing landscapes of the towering mountains and lochs, beautifully framed by the violet of the wild heather. We've never been on such awesome beaches and had them all to ourselves. We travelled from Dunnet, following the coast road, passing through Thurso, several different hamlets before experiencing Melvich beach with its pure white sands and a view out to sea which was 'out of this world" From there we travelled further and visited Strathy Point lighthouse, again with jaw dropping views. We stopped to walk a short distance from the road to Farr beach where we were the only people. The next part of the road took us around Loch Eriboll which is a sea loch and is 16km long! We have found a £10 a night car park which is just past Sangobeg sands and to be honest the view we have is actually priceless.
We have done all this in a Motorhome and haven't had a problems whatsoever. We've heard people say the NC 500 is on their "bucket list" and now we understand why. Please share and like our post, we have availability for our Motorhomes. Don't just dream, make it a reality with Eventyr Motorhome Hire .

Day 3, we stuck to the A9 and followed it all the way to Dunnet Bay, stopping to take in the impressive views of the coastline up to John O Groats. We stopped at Wick to see the amazing rock formations of the coastline and managed to get inside "Tinkers Cave" and see the open air lido which was used as the public baths once the sea had refilled it after each tide. The weather changed dramatically on route to John O Groats, we've not seen rain like it and that's coming from people who live in the Lake District! Thankfully we drove into the sunshine to the beautiful and stunning Dunnet Bay where we are saying the night before moving on along the NC. The camp site is well equipped with wonderful views of the Bay, where we have seen Seals. Hopeful for a wonderful sunset now the brief shower has been and gone. The plan is to take the 2 minute walk to the beach, with a glass of wine and enjoy the remaining daylight.
Please like and share our post. Still availability for end of August and September. Live life the way you want too ❤️

Day 2, an absolute pleasure to drive through the Highlands- the Heart of Scotland or so they say. Miles of green conifers and wild violet heather, even the disappointing weather we encountered couldn't dampen their glory. We arrived at Dingwall mid afternoon to glorious sunshine and the roar of the Ross County football fans who were playing St Johnstone at home. The stadium is across the road from the site. The site is very quiet despite of this and has fantastic facilities. The site is part of the camping and caravaning club. We have visited the Hector Macdonald Monument with amazing views across the Moray Firth and out to sea. The town itself has what you need for a "stop off" is an ideal platform and a chance to rest before travelling up to the North Coast. We are so excited to now be past Inverness which counts as the start of the NC 500,.even more excited to have already booked a campsite for tomorrow night ( all will be revealed in the post tomorrow) Time to open a bottle of wine and watch another episode of the new season of Outlander- perfect ❤️
Please like and share our post and send a message if interested in hiring one of our beautiful 6 berth, Rollerteam brand new Motorhomes. We still have availability for end of August and September
