"If you're thinking of hiring a campervan... stop thinking and do it. We hired Bessy for 12 nights and had the best time and experience. Everything was so easy from the booking process picking her up, having her for 12 nights, to dropping her back off to Zoe, who is the loveliest person you will meet. The website was so helpful with videos of how to use Bessy and also the info guide that comes with her. We stayed off grid for most part of our trip, and Bessy took us to some unbelievable places. Top tip pack light and embrace camper life... Missing Bessy already Ashleigh, Aimee and Lincoln 🐾"

We have been on our hols hence the absence on our page!
Lakes Escape Dream Team captained the ship whilst we were away ( Not sure they need me 🤣 ) as September is busy busy!
We have been on our own adventure in USA and Hawai in a 40 year VW Westfalia..such an ole Girl but we loved her!
Should I buy one to join the fleet??? Hmm..

August finished with blue bird skies and Sunsets...what a way to finish the summer season..and what a sell out few months it's been 😁
We are off on our road trip to Hawaii ( Hired a camper would you believe it 🤣 )
Lakes Escape HQ still open with our incredible Team overseeing the next few weeks as September is busy busy!

Lots of photies being sent in of road trips with Dolly basking in the sunshine on top of the world on the NC500 with Roxy keeping our road trippers dry on a very wet Isle Of Skye ( At least no wet tents to out away ) Anyone else dizzy with this weather not being able to make its mind up????

"Had an amazing long weekend in Roxy.
From starting the booking process, through to picking Roxy up, over the weekend and returning her, Zoe was always easy to communicate with. Roxy was a dream to spend our weekend in and the Lake District was such a wonderful place to take her.

The Solway Firth is a firm fave of ours and only a 2 hour drive in Southern Scotland.
Perfect for a Weekend or 4 night Trip!
Often bypassed by road trippers seeking the Highlands and Northern Scotland which we see sometimes gives our road trippers too much to do in such little time 🤪
Beach Front Campsites with Dog Friendly sand and shell beaches and coastal walks what's not to love!
It benefits from the gulf stream and the rewards are warmer weather and candyfloss skies 👌
The icing on the cake?? Pizzas cooked in an Oonie which you can hire from us for your road trip!
It's sooooo worth a visit.

"It's been so wonderful! We didn't have any plans & it's been great to see where the road (& Roxy) takes us. Slept well too. Can't get over how easy it is to put the bed away! Weather's been on our side for the most part too. Would absolutely do it again!"

"We hired Dixie for 2 weeks in 2021, we were one of her first guests and we fell in love with her and the freedom she gives you. She is and probably will always be my husband’s ‘other woman!’
There’s plenty of room for a family of 4. She is fully equipped with everything you need.
Zoe is always on hand if you need her, nothing is ever too much trouble, she’s so friendly and approachable. She offers a wealth of knowledge on little gems to visit that we would not have found on our own.
Our trip inspired our friends and the following year they hired Dixie and we had the lovely Dolly. If Campervaning is fun with one van it’s fantastic with two!
This year we returned for another two weeks with Dixie (husband love affair with her remains!).
As our holiday ended we hadn’t even made it home before we booked for 2025! Our friends with Dixie, us in Sango and now our daughter in Roxy (she’s got the bug too!).
Three vans, three times the adventures and three times the memories to make! We can’t wait!!!"

"Had the most fantastic time away exploring the lakes with my partner and dog! Dolly was an unbelievably comfy home and we loved every minute of it! Couldn’t have asked for it any better.
