We enjoyed a special treat for our anniversary dinner in Cartmel. It was made even more memorable by celebrating with my brother and family, who were visiting the Lake District from the US for the first time. 💘

Cartmel is a picturesque village in Cumbria, renowned for its historic charm and culinary delights. Nestled on the edge of the Lake District, it’s famous for its 12th-century Cartmel Priory, quaint cobbled streets, and as the birthplace of the iconic Sticky Toffee Pudding.🍮 🍽

Buttermere. I have always wanted to wake up in Buttermere, and I did. This was my morning view, and it was breathtaking. 🏞💚

It is totally worth the drive from Kendal with some spectacular views on the way.

We bought this fun piece of artwork called Baa-Hemian Rhapsody 🐑🥰 a few months ago, which explores themes of modern-day equality, diversity, and inclusion. A nice addition, with the rest of our collection of sheep in the property 😀 🐑🌈🥰

Well done to our guests who stayed at the cottage this weekend to participate in the Lake District Ultra Challenge, a demanding 100 km event featuring various distances of running and hiking through the stunning and rugged terrain of the Lake District National Park. Starting at basecamp in Kendal, they tackled steep climbs navigated challenging trails and experienced breathtaking views, showcasing their endurance and determination.🏞⛰️🚶‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
