One of my favourite days of the year is when the pet lambs are transferred from their pen in the barn to the orchard, love watching them enjoying a good run through the fresh grass, blossom on the fruit trees & the sound of the birds in the hedge rows

‘And then there were none’ - last ewe & her lambs went out to the fields this morning leaving just our chunky chums here, in the barn. Hoping we’ll get them out into the orchard by the house tomorrow… And the last of the mucking out!

And then there were three’ - just like that, after three and a half weeks of wall to wall lambing we’re down to the last 15 outside still to lamb and just these few new ones in the barn - and the usual gang of pets! Made it to the supermarket this morning but Ed hasn’t been further than the top of the hill in three weeks! Conversation becoming quite limited…
