Situated on a two hundred acre estate, in a beautiful location and surrounded by fields and woodland, Shaw End Mansion's four stylish and spacious Georgain apartments with open fireplaces provide an excellent holiday base or short break destination . Shaw End is also a popular venue for family reunions, weddings and corporate accommodation and can be booked as a whole sleeping up to eighteen people. One of my favourite days of the year is when the pet lambs are transferred from their pen in the barn to the orchard, love watching them enjoying a good run through the fresh grass, blossom on the fruit trees & the sound of the birds in the hedge rows

And then there were three’ - just like that, after three and a half weeks of wall to wall lambing we’re down to the last 15 outside still to lamb and just these few new ones in the barn - and the usual gang of pets! Made it to the supermarket this morning but Ed hasn’t been further than the top of the hill in three weeks! Conversation becoming quite limited…
