As we approach the Christmas period, we’d like to share our festive opening hours and some important reminders.

Festive Opening Hours

While the park remains open, our park team will have adjusted availability as follows:

• 23rd December – 9am – 5pm

• 24th December (Christmas Eve) – 10am – 2pm

• 25th December (Christmas Day) – Closed

• 26th December (Boxing Day) – Closed

• 27th – 31st December – 10am – 2pm

• 1st January (New Year’s Day) – Closed

• 2nd January – 9am – 5pm

Gas Bottle Reminder

Please ensure you check your gas bottles regularly and place your orders as soon as possible to avoid any disruptions. We want to ensure we have enough time to accommodate your requests, especially during this busy period.

In the event of an emergency on a day when the office is closed, White Cross Bay Holiday Park will be covering emergency phone lines. Please note, this service is for emergencies only. Update re Hawkshead Christmas Markets trip tomorrow:

We will update should anything change between now and early tomorrow morning.

If you are travelling to Gatebeck tonight, please take care.

UPDATE:
11.30am Friday 6 December 2024

Tomorrow, on Saturday, to keep everyone safe, there will be no outdoor gazebo stalls in the village. However, the festive fun will continue indoors in the MARKET HALL, PARK HOUSE, THE OLD GRAMMAR SCHOOL, THE OLD POST OFFICE & HAWKSHEAD PRIMARY SCHOOL with lots of stalls, entertainment and music AND all the shops, restaurants and pubs will be open too.

We have lots of people already staying in Hawkshead especially for the Christmas Fair weekend, but please only travel here if it is safe to do so.

On Sunday, the Christmas Fair will be in full swing and (hopefully if all is well) resume as normal. The Lantern Parade and Christmas Carols will now take place on Sunday 8 December at 4pm.

Electricity North West have reported a power cut in the area at 4am this morning. They aim to have power restored by 10am today. It is unclear how much of the park, if at all, is affected.

The washing machine in the laundrette is currently out of order due to a fault.

We are expecting this to be rectified by 5pm on Monday.
