So happy to be back running on the fell near our house again 💚🏃‍♀️

The access bridge has been shut for over 6 months. I didn’t realise how isolated that had made me feel until I got back out there today - the joy of being out in nature cannot be beaten.

I don’t know how our government cannot see the integral link between natural and social wellbeing, it is fundamental they work together. If the price of ‘growth’ is the loss of nature then it’s the loss of humanity as well.
Political rant over but my bid to change things will continue…..

Great morning with the Quarterly Connect group catching up and visiting the tapestry to see beautiful work.

What a gorgeous installation and so seasonally appropriate. I definitely recommend a visit, it really provoked the sensation of a starling murmuration - if you’ve never experienced one, now is the time of year!

Also .mill is worth a visit any time, great to see so much local crafting in action 💚

It’s time to put Morecambe Bay on your map!
From flower rich grasslands full of orchids, to ancient woodlands, limestone pavement, wetlands full of birds and a coastline bursting with birds, butterflies and rare toads - the bay is one of the best places I know 💚

If you’ve never been then you should and if you have then you know what I mean - a haven for people and wildlife with a rich history it’s in a league of its own.

Morecambe Bay is host to over 1/4 million birds each year, many of which will pass through Leighton Moss. A few notes from my visit this morning, a nice bit of relaxed bird watching. I did see the otters, no Osprey but a kind fellow birdwatcher let me see a distant Hobby through their scope 🦅 🦋 🐝 🦦 Also bumped into some old NT colleagues which was lovely to see their friendly faces 💚 #nature #birdwatching #lovenature #rspb #morecambebay #lancashire #connectwithnature #natureguide #birds #butterfly #wildisles #naturephotography #ecoescapes #greentourism

A little collection from my woodland wander this evening. I love foraging in the undergrowth for the discarded evidence of life, seeking out the slight change in form or colour on the woodland floor that leads to a discovery of treasure.
