IT'S A WRAP! Well it nearly is. The last full week in 2024 has just been booked so we only have two short breaks remaining, one in Sept and one in Dec. We already have 7 weeks booked for 2025 so things are shaping up nicely.
Our new cottage Blue Sky is picking up a lot of June and July 24 bookings which is great. It only became "live" last month. So if you have missed out on SunnyBank for 2024 but still want a holiday in the Lake District check out Blue Sky:

Sometimes you meet famous people; politicians (hmmm), TV stars, sports people, olympians, etc. Then you meet real true heros. Soo looking forward to meet the amazing, "Three Dad's Walking" on Saturday night at The Theatre by The Lake as part of KMF.

A little delayed in posting. Taken on the 31st March when we were over in Keswick, in and near Lower Fitz Park. The flowers and trees were just lovely! (and it wasn't raining!!!) We only have 3 weeks and a couple of short breaks left for Sunnybank for 2024, but the pricing has now been loaded for 2025 and all weeks are available bar 4th July. Derwentwater loop today! I've broken my mate Louise. She may now run faster than me, but she did not love the hike because we did not stop halfway round for a cup of tea. But she's fed now and had her tea so calm is restored!!

Well that is it. My GNR "journey" with Louise Dale is over. Completed number 3 with a GNR PB and "smashing" last years time by over 30 mins. We ran to 11.5 miles without stopping. I then started to struggle. We did a fast walk for a little while, had a couple of jelly babies and a drink and then ran to the end and finished in 2.41. I am physically and emotionally drained. And a day of two halves. Red hot waiting to start and then shortly after we finished, day turned into night and roads became rivers. Never have we been so thankful for that silver blanket. We were soaked completely, but it stopped us getting cold. Now I don't condone getting into a strangers car, but when one comes along that wants to help get you to where your lift is parked, take it. And thanks to Andrew McLean for driving us back home through all the biblical weather too. Impressive lightening if I could be bothered to look. And a final thanks again to my bessie Louise Dale. Xx
