Thank you to for supplying hedging and trees for our latest phase of works to our gardens at Cresswell Mill cottages.
We’ve planted a mixture of native henge plants and trees to provide colour, food for birds and insects and privacy for guests.
Great quality of plants, easy to deal with and a large range to choose from.

Cresswell Mill is a unique property. A former water powered mill, it’s today a Grade II listed, comfortable country retreat for families. It’s accommodation comfortably accommodates 4 adults and 4 children which the option of 2 more guests on a sofa bed in the TV room/snug.

As summer feels like it’s leaving us, it’s time to settle down, light the wood burning stove and relax.
Miller’s Cottage & Miller’s House both have wood burning stoves that help create a cozy & snug atmosphere.
Using wood harvested on our estate, who can think of a better way to warm up after a walk in the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside.

When it’s cold and wet out side (doesn’t feel like summer today!) there’s always cards and lighting the wood burning stove.
Both Miller’s House and Miller’s Cottage have wood burning stoves that not only are lovely and warm but are wonderfully atmospheric and cozy.

Good news, there are indeed 3 cygnets thriving from the brood hatched out on the Cresswell River. Brilliant. 😍

Not the best of photos, but an update on our swans and their cygnets. We think there are 3 cygnets that have made it this far. Fingers crossed for them. Hatched out by the riverbank next to Miller’s Cottage, they’ve recently spent their time at Cresswell Bridge and down the Quay.

Delighted to report that the pair of swans that have been sitting on eggs have hatched out 4 cygnets. Fingers crossed that they do well 🤞🏼
When we restored the properties at Cresswell Mill, we took the opportunity to try to improve the nesting habitat for our resident swans. They had created nests for a few years on ground that flooded at high tides.
This year was the first year that they used the higher ground and successfully hatched signets. So pleased 😊

Our latest guests are checked in at Miller’s Cottage & Miller’s house with guests to Cresswell Mill arriving this afternoon. The garden at Cresswell Mill is an ideal spot to relax with a glass of elderflower cordial (or something stronger 😉).

I spy our resident swans sitting on their nest. 3 years ago we remodelled part of the bank to provide a safe nesting area as where the swans had always tried to nest, flooded at high tide and successive clutches of eggs were lost.
Having nested now for a month, fingers crossed we may see some signets soon.

Miller's House,

We stayed at Miller's House, Cresselly Estate Cottages and I would absolutely recommend it or stay again without hesitation. Situated on the edge of a small village, the cottage was beautifully appointed and immaculately clean. It felt warm, cosy and welcoming from the moment we walked in after a very long journey and we felt right at home.

Two beautiful bedrooms, a snug sitting room and a lovely modern kitchen and dining area gave us all we needed and there was outside space as well for sunny times.

We could walk from the cottage down along the river and it was just beautiful, especially with the wild garlic just blooming. I especially loved the quiet morning time, listening to the woodpecker nearby.

Thank you for providing the perfect home from home!
