This is why we don't offer a hot tub, as involves alot of time and effort to make sure they're kept upto standards.
And I am pretty sure a lot of holiday lets don't change the water each time and testing daily.

We made the decision not to install a hot tub for the following health & safety reasons:-

* FULLY CLEANED - to ensure that the hot tub is clean for each guest. The hot tub needs to be fully drained, cleaned and refilled and heated ready for the new guests arriving.

* LEGIONNAIRES DISEASE - hot tubs are the perfect temperature for the growth of bacteria such as legionnella. To ensure that any bacteria is killed and water quality is strictly maintained it is essential that they are disinfected and pH and sanitiser levels are tested and recorded twice a day by the owner and available for the guests to view

* INSURANCE - the owner needs to ensure that their insurance includes the guests use of a hot tub. If a guest slips and bangs their head, they owner could be held liable.

If you decide to book a holiday home with a hot tub, then make sure that the owner is following the Health and Safety Guidance 282 (HSE282) as every holiday home owner has a "duty of care" .

Ask to see the documentation to ensure that you are safe.

The majority of owners are responsible and do adhere to the guidance, however like everything else unfortunately there are the few that don't

Whilst I've been out of action I've taken the opportunity to update the website a bit

A secluded retreat with easy access to all amenities this lovely part of Norfolk has to offer. Willow Barn is a one-bedroom single storey barn conversion available for holiday let, close to the Royal Sandringham Estate and the North Norfolk Coast.

Lovely food and pub that always looks after my guests

Ladies & Gents,
From this Wednesday we will be offering our new Golden Years menu. The menu is designed with smaller portions for our guests with smaller appetites. It is available Wednesday through Friday lunch time. 3 courses for £20 or 2 courses for £15.

It's been a tough last year for me after being diagnosed with endometriosis and living in pain but I finally have a date for my operation with just a week's notice!
I would like to thank everyone that has booked in with us here and been so understanding of me not being on top of bookings,replies and face to face greetings. But once I have had this operation and healed I should be back on top form.
I will be trying to respond to any messages, queries and bookings within a reasonable time frame whilst I recover and have hired some help with cleaning the barn too, so please be assured you are in safe hands when booking here Willow Barn holiday let.
Looking forward to another amazing summer and meeting all our guests 🥰

I like to keep the place looking nice as hate it when you go somewhere and nothing looks like the photos and run down. All exterior frames looking better 👍
