Coastliner 36 - The closure of the A149 at Titchwell will be lifted at 1215hrs today (24th January) so Coastliner 36 buses will be reverting back to their full normal route from this time. The shuttle bus will cease operating.

Thank you for patience and understanding over the last few weeks on this one. Frustratingly it appears that all the work has been undertaken in the verge of the road so it's yet another road closure that wasn't needed and could have been safely accommodated under two way traffic lights!

Great Massingham (Service 49A) - It looks like the 'emergency' Anglian Water works have at long last been completed.

We are therefore serving Great Massingham as per normal once again. The UKPN electrical works south of Great Massingham have overrun however, this means that buses are diverting via Grimston.

Thanks for your patience again!

Please be advised that due to a lane closure on Hardwick Road, King's Lynn for Anglian Water works our services 37, 38 and 39 are experiencing delays of up to 25 minutes.

As it's still early in the day it's likely that the congestion will get worse as the day goes on so there may be a knock on effect on our other routes too (many of which are subject to unnecessary disruption and diversions already!)

We've asked Norfolk County Council to investigate and see how long this will cause us issues too.

Thanks for your patience once again.

Coastliner 36 - A149 closure and disruption

From Monday 13th to Friday 31st January 2025 (inclusive) most Coastliner 36 buses are unable to serve the full normal route due to the closure of the A149 at Titchwell, for Norfolk County Council drainage works. The majority of journeys will therefore be diverting at Brancaster via Docking and Sedgeford.

As a result of the closure the regular buses (journeys not shown in a box in the timetable below) are unable following locations during the closure period:

- Hunstanton Cliff Parade
- Old Hunstanton
- Holme-next-the-Sea
- Thornham
- Titchwell

We will however be operating a dedicated shuttle bus between Thornham and Hunstanton during the closure period at times when the normal bus is not allowed through the closure.

The following journeys will operate as per normal on Mondays to Fridays as they’re permitted through the road closure:

- 0630hrs journey from King’s Lynn (0728hrs from Hunstanton) to Wells-next-the-Sea
- 0700hrs journey from Wells-next-the-Sea (0750hrs from Hunstanton) to King’s Lynn
- 1430hrs journey from King’s Lynn (1528hrs from Hunstanton) to Wells-next-the-Sea
- 1533hrs journey from Wells-next-the-Sea (1635hrs from Hunstanton) to King’s Lynn
- 1630hrs journey from King’s Lynn (1728hrs from Hunstanton) to Wells-next-the-Sea

For most other journeys (including those on Saturdays and Sundays) a shuttle bus is being provided by us as per the timetable below.

Customers for journeys beyond Hunstanton towards King’s Lynn or towards Wells-next-the-Sea and Fakenham can change to the normal scheduled buses at Hunstanton Bus Station.

Please be advised that due to the road closure on Lamsey Lane in Heacham buses are now serving the southbound bus stop on Poplar Avenue. This is the stop that is normally for buses towards King's Lynn but it will now be used for buses in both directions.

We had previously advised otherwise but unfortunately buses were being damaged by a high kerb on the planned diversion route.

Please accept our apologies for any confusion.

30/12/2024

From Monday 6th to Friday 24th January 2025 there will be disruption and diversions impacting our services 34, 35, 36, 408 and 415 in Heacham. This is due to the closure of Lamsey Lane for Norfolk County Council works to repair a footpath (!)

Service 34/35/36

During the closure period these routes are unable to serve the following bus stops in Heacham village:

- College Drive
- Lodge Road
- Fenside
- Fengate
- Collingwood Close
- Poplar Avenue (King’s Lynn bound stop not in use)

For buses towards Hunstanton/Wells-next-the-Sea and King’s Lynn please use the bus stops on the ‘normal’ side of the road at Fox & Hounds, Tesco Express, Heacham Manor (34/36) or Nourse Drive/Norfolk Lavender (35).

Poplar Avenue will be served on a one-way loop so the stop facing towards King's Lynn can be used for journeys to Hunstanton AND King’s Lynn. The stop that is normally used for journeys to Hunstanton will be out of use.

School buses 408 and 415

The only bus stop that these services cannot serve at Collingwood Close. Buses will operate a clockwise loop around the village in the morning and afternoon service all the other stops as normal:

Lynn Road, Station Road, Poplar Avenue, Cheney Hill, Lodge Road, Staithe Road, Poplar Avenue, Station Road and then Lynn Road.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused by these works but it is something that we have no control over.
