Please bear with us this afternoon, we're experiencing delays of up to 30 minutes on some services. This is due to temporary traffic lights on Wootton Road (for Anglian Water works) causing mayhem across the town.

Our drivers are trying their very best to get to you.

From Sunday 1st December we’ll be making some carefully considered changes to some of our bus fares.

As a relatively small business we have always tried to ensure that we keep fare price changes to a minimum as we’re always conscious that the cost of living has increased significantly over the last few years.

In some cases, fares will only now just exceed the level they were before we came along 10 years ago! For example, in December 2014 a return ticket between Hunstanton and King’s Lynn was £6.80, this will for the first time in 10 years exceed this amount by 20p (10p per trip).

However, given that costs of operation continue to increase and will do even more so following the recent Budget, we’re now in a position where we need to make some changes to fares.
The following tickets will therefore increase in price:

• Single (One-way) tickets
• Two-trip tickets – Don’t forget these will remain valid for a month from the date of issue so are better value than two single tickets, providing that you make another journey within the month!
• Weekly and Monthly tickets – Point-to-point weekly and monthly tickets will also increase in price but they will continue to be discounted at 25% over normal levels, due to Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) funding.

From the same date we’ll also no longer offer 10-trip tickets. Demand for these tickets has always been very low as in many cases they didn’t represent any more discount than purchasing five 2-trip tickets. These tickets were also subject to some fraudulent use regrettably. 10-trip tickets previously purchased will be continued to be valid for travel until expired.

There will be no changes to any unlimited travel ticket prices at all (i.e. Townrider, Explorer, Coast or Fusion tickets) and the £1.50 discounted single ticket in King’s Lynn will remain in place until the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) funding ceases at the end of March 2025. Fares on service 60 are also largely unchanged.

New Single and Two-ticket ticket prices will be available to view on our online fare calculators at lynxbus.co.uk from 25th November. If you need to check any other fares please contact us.

On Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th November our services 34, 35 and Coastliner 36 will face disruption and a diversion due to the closure of Lynn Road in Snettisham for Norfolk County Council resurfacing works.

During the closure buses will not be able to serve the following locations:

- Ingoldisthorpe (all stops)
- Dersingham - Thaxters stops
- Snettisham - Factory Shop stops

Buses will be operating via the A149 and Strickland Avenue/Poppyfields Drive in Snettisham. The nearest alternative stops during the closure will be The Grapes (in Snettisham) or Bank Road (34, 35 & 36) and Station Road (34 & 36) in Dersingham.

Please accept our sincere apologies for this disruption but the closure is not something that is within our control.

Please be aware that on Sunday 10th November several of our services will be on temporary diversions due to various Remembrance Day events that are taking place in the area.

On Monday 11th November please also be mindful that some of our drivers may pause the bus for two minutes at 11am to honour those that have died in conflicts around the world.

If you're catching the bus from an unlit bus stop this autumn, you can help our drivers to spot you by waving or flashing your mobile phone screen or camera flash, but please don’t shine the flash directly into their eyes.

At other times of the day it’s also helpful that if you'd like to catch a particular bus that you make a clear signal to the driver, such as putting your hand out. This is particularly helpful at stops where several different buses may pass.
