This is a photograph taken at Higher Stancombe by a guest way back in 2017. We are still please to say that our sky is still dark and great for photographing the night sky. The joys of living in the countryside with no neighbours!

For those that like gastronomic delights - we are within a 20 minute drive of 3 of the 4 best restaurants listed in this guide. We also have restaurant Twenty Seven 4 miles away and a few miles beyond that, Heron Valley cafe, South Devon Chilli Farm and Aune Valley cafe.

A photo I took a few years ago of the beautiful Bantham beach. Roughly a 7.5 miles drive from Higher Stancombe. It’s a lovely sandy beach with warm shallow waters and a lovely place to visit year round.
