M56 J5 - 7 Resurfacing works
National Highways are Carrying Out Essential Overnight Resurfacing Works on Both Sides of the M56 Between Junction 4 and Junction 7. Works are Due to Start on Monday 10th June 2024 and Completed by August 2024. Closures Will Take Place Between 21:00 and 05:00, Monday to Friday, and Extending to 07:00 on Saturdays. This Will Include a Mix of Full Overnight Closures and Slip Closures.

Signed Diversion Routes Will Be in Place.

DELAYS ARE EXPECTED - PLEASE ALLOW EXTRA TIME FOR YOUR JOURNEY

Download Festival - 12th - 16th June 2024

We Recommend Customers Allow Extra Journey Time When Travelling to and From the Airport Whilst Download Festival is Underway from 12 – 16 June.

The Three-Day Event Takes Place at Donington Park Next to the Airport From 14th - 16th June, with Campsites Opening from Midday on Wednesday 12 June. As the UK’s Largest Rock Festival, It is Expected to be Attended by Around 75,000 People.

Significant Traffic is Therefore Expected During the Event, Affecting all Roads Around The Airport Including The M1, A42, A50 and A453.

Please Check your Journey Before you Travel. You Can Find Useful Information on The Traffic England Website.
