Since joining our team in 2007, Vasiliki has consistently demonstrated her commitment and passion, starting part-time with Greek paperwork and quickly advancing to a full-time customer service role within the same year. By 2017, her innovative and customer-focused approach led to her promotion to Customer Service and Admin Manager.

My journey with Sunsail began after realising that life is better on a yacht in the Mediterranean than sitting on a dinghy in Ireland in the rain, teaching kids how to sail. Coming from a dinghy sailing background, I joined the team in Agana as a Flotilla Host and had an amazing season developing my skills and drive for success in the industry.

I returned the next season as a Flotilla Skipper and went on to enjoy two seasons in this role. Wanting to continue to grow and explore the industry's land-side operations, I was very fortunate to move to the London office and join the team as a Seasonal Talent Specialist, working on the Mediterranean campaign for 2024. My time was then extended, and I have now had even more exposure to sister companies, exciting projects, and other departments within the company.

My time with Sunsail so far has developed into much more than I ever thought it could.

"I started with Sunsail as a flotilla technician without much knowledge about sailing. The supportive environment offered by Sunsail helped me overcome the challenges of being new to the industry and allowed me to enhance my skills and develop as a sailor. After completing my Yachtmaster, I returned for another flotilla season as a skipper. I remember the first few weeks being a little stressful, even though I had experience from the previous season, but it was a rewarding experience.

Sunsail’s continued support was evident when they sponsored me to become a cruising instructor. What I enjoy most about this role is teaching people who are new to sailing and seeing their smiles and excitement at the end of the week. It’s incredibly fulfilling to make a positive impact on their learning journey. Additionally, Sunsail offers me the opportunity to work year-round by spending summers in Greece and winters in the British Virgin Islands (BVI).
