We often get asked - what is a ‘buff’?

It is a super versatile, scarf-like piece of fabric but it can be worn in many ways. A headband, sweatband, bandana, beanie, hood or snood (neck gaiter).

Here is Steve wearing our branded C2C Packhorse buff, ready for his walk to Orton this morning 🤩

WE DID IT! We completed Wainwright’s Coast to Coast Walk in northern England, logging a total of 202 miles over 16 days. It was tough, but the experience was well worth the hard work.

But, we can’t take all of the credit. We’d like to thank a few people who made this possible.

First and foremost, we’d like to thank our significant others for supporting us in our endeavors and holding down the fort back home.

Second, we’d like to thank for making our absolute favorite hiking shirt, the Sahara Shade Hoodie (and for our future sponsorship). We wore the same shirts for multiple days on end and never got stinky. We’re ready for more colors!

Third, we’d like to thank for a seamless trip and excellent bookings at wonderful B&Bs. (And a big thank you to all of the incredibly accommodating hosts!)

Last but not least, thank you to all of you who have followed along with us as we completed our journey. We hope this inspires you to complete your own journey.

Our local heart transplant warrior achieved the walk up to nine standards today - well done Reggie 👏

Nine Standards Rigg lies on the route of the Coast to Coast at a height of 2172 ft (662 m) above sea level, overlooking Kirkby Stephen.
The origin of the nine "stone men" on the summit, is a mystery. According to Wainwright, whose Coast to Coast route crosses the fell, they are very ancient and are marked on 18th century maps. One theory is that they were constructed by the Roman army to look like troops from a distance.

My name is Reggie, I am 6 years old. Back in November 2019 I received a heart transplant as a result of severe heart failure. I was born with a rare congenital heart defect known as HLHS (hypoplastic left heart syndrome) which cannot be cured but some quality of life can be given through palliative open heart surgeries.

Unfortunately for me my heart wasn't strong enough to withhold these surgeries and in July 2019 i was admitted to the Freeman Hospital and listed urgently for transplant.

Fast forward 4 years and here i am, doing things my parents could only wish for me to do! I'm in year 1 at school, I have made loads of wonderful friends, and today i walked almost 5 miles to the Nine Standards Rigg with my Mum, Dad and Brothers. The furthest I have ever walked in my life so far!

I am forever grateful to my organ donor and their family, but its days like to today, when i achieve things I didn't believe i could, that i truly am thankful ❤️

🥾Happy National Walking Day 🥾

“Oh, how can I put into words the joys of a walk over country such as this; the scenes that delight the eyes, the blessed peace of mind, the sheer exuberance which fills your soul as you tread the firm turf? This is something to be lived, not read about”. - Alfred Wainwright
