*Criminal damage* We are feeling really angry and confused because our Car at Abbey View campus-Arbroath, was targeted in the early hours of Sunday morning (approx 12.40am) by vandals, causing at least £500 worth of damage. The car is undrivable- This has significantly impacted on our staffing, collections and childrens routines and will cost us extra in taxis until we can have it fixed. It really is disgusting 🥺 3 individuals have been caught on camera entering the school grounds by climbing over the gates..(hoods are up on the way out only). The police are investigating but we are appealing for anyone who knows any other information, or who may have CCTV and lives around Hayshead road or surroundings (perhaps other criminal activity took place that could be linked to the 3) Please, please get in touch with us. We know the power of the community can help us through this unnecessary disruption 🫶

😔 Sad 😪 We are always struggling for available supply staff and it's stressing us out a bit 🤪 Soooo... we have decided to employ a permanent staff member, who can work across any of our sites (therefore own transport is required) but with guaranteed weekly hours (15). The benefits of this is that no day will be the same for you, you get to influence and play with lots of different children each week and we get a reliable person of our own to be able to cover shifts, when and where we need them the most. As we close for the holidays this evening I wanted to give a quick update to Montrose and Arbroath families.
Abbey View- recruitment checks are underway for a successful candidate and as soon as they are cleared and have completed induction, we can resume collection from other schools. We are working as fast as we can though we are sorry for the ongoing delay.
Montrose/Borrowfield- recruitment adverts are live until Sunday 14th April where interviews are expected to take place in the following week or so. We unfortunately can not offer more collections from schools until we have a full team.
Thank you for your patience whilst we continue to recruit. Though we really need a break as it's been a busy year so far 🤪🙃 so see you in the new term! (All emails and texts/calls will not be responded to until we return)

£1 Easter holiday club spaces for eligible families in Borrowfield OOSC and Carnoustie OOSC next week. 🌼 🐣
We have some limited spaces available at our holiday clubs: Monday 1st to Friday 5th April Inclusive. Full day (8.30-5.30pm or half day available). To qualifiy for £1 spaces you must be either a:
Lone parent, family of 3+ children, mother under 25, Minority ethnic, families with a child under 1 or, a household where someone is disabled. If you send us a message, you will get an auto response with the email address for you to then send your enquiry! Not eligible? You can still email to enquire cost and availability for our paid for provision. 👌

**Important Abbey View OOSC UPDATE**
Most staff have started to undertake their shadow shifts and we are able to start putting things in motion for a potential reopen date, though this will be phased.

On Thursday 14th March and Friday 15th March we invite all CURRENT registered families to drop in, between 3pm and 5.45pm to check their childrens files, care plans and meet the staff. Remember we have a whole new staff team so this is important to attend. On Monday the 18th March, staff will be on site for holding specific meetings with families who require a formal care planning meeting or to discuss any individual care needs. Please let staff know at your drop in if you require a time.

We will be on site to reopen to most children on Tuesday 19th March.

The Muirfield collection arrangements are likely but not promised to resume on Monday 25th March- This is depending on staffs availability to shadow the driver, and on insurance clearance. Therfore we will require to update for Muirfield separately once we know more. (Muirfield families are of course welcome to attend from Tuesday 19th if they can make their own transport arrangements).

We have NO holiday provision available for Abbey View Campus this Easter. There may be spaces available at Carnoustie OOSC should you require care.

We will be in touch again soon about Muirfield when we know more. We really appreciate your support and patience whilst we figure this out! Our new staff team are really lovely, we can't wait to show them off 🤩

Abbey View OOSC Parents. As you know we are having recruitment difficulties in finding a suitable candidate to take on the Deputy/Acting Managers role in time for Katys maternity leave.
