How nice was this 🤩 the guests that stayed last weekend left me a bunch of flowers, 💐, handwritten testimonial and a card with a lovely note 📝 in 🥰.
The fact they actually took the time to go out and buy a card and flowers is just so thoughtful and means so much to me.
It makes all the hardwork worthwhile ☺️. It’s nice to know all my efforts are appreciated 🤗.

On Friday I attended conference ‘Celebrating extraordinary women, making a difference through adversity and advocacy’, which also included the book signing of Lindsey Burrow’s new book ‘Take care’ 🥰.
.
It was a wonderful conference. I left feeling truly inspired by the speakers, but also meeting so many talented women in business 🙌🏻🤩.
It was also great to talk with other people in the hospitality industry about their challenges and future plans ☺️.
Big thanks to my dear friend for introducing me to the conference 🥰. It was great to have a catch up as well x.

As part of my aim to provide an exceptional service and time away for our guests, I always ‘check in’ with them after their first night 👍. Just to ensure everything is ok with the lodge and that they don’t require anything ☺️🙂.

I put my heart and soul into this business, which can take its toll on me at times 🤷🏻‍♀️, so when I receive a response like the one this morning it makes it all worthwhile 🥰🤩🙌🏻.

Another 5 🌟 review on 🙌🏻🙌🏻.
We’re so happy that people are thoroughly enjoying what we have created with our lodges in our beautiful setting 🥰.
Also a nice mention of this pub is only a 5 minute drive from the lodge car park 👌👍.
We’re very fortunate to have so many fabulous, dog friendly pubs in close proximity to the lodges ☺️😋.

Today I did my first ever York NetWalk 🤩.

It was a beautiful morning and had a huge turnout for the Small Business Britain event hashtag

I had a great conversation with the lovely Zoe Nicholl who it turns out was on the virtual networking call I joined the other month 🙌🏻🙌🏻

I also met lots of other wonderful inspiring people, who I’m looking forward to connecting with again in the future.

I was even able to take my darling Hattie 🐶 on the walk, but the cafe was too much for her 🤷🏻‍♀️ maybe next time 🥰

As it is mainly just myself running the business at present it is important for my to go off site and interact with like minded people, so this is something I intended to do more off this year :-)

Stomping around in the snow ❄️ in the lodge field reminded me of the movie when he is trying to sneak around in the loudest snow 😂😂😂.
We also now have an ice skating ⛸️ rink in the lodge field 🤷🏻‍♀️.
I hope you’re all keeping safe in this weather 🙏🏻🙂.

We gave the sheep some hay today that was created from the fields this year 🙌🏻🙌🏻 they’re the first animals to eat it and I think they approve 🥰👍💓.
And it’s not a post without having Hattie in it after and Nolan had finished setting up the hot tub for the next guests xx 😘.

In between guests leaving, lodges being turned over and the next guests arriving we managed a family trip out to today 👍👌. Nolan and went off on the bikes 🚲 whilst Hattie 🐶 and I went for a walk ☺️.
Hattie and I got a bit lost 🤣 but the views are stunning 🤩 and we beat the fog 🌫️ 🙌🏻.
Sutton Bank is only a 20-30 minute drive from the lodges and it’s well worth a visit 👌🥰. You can even see the white horse from the lodge field 🤩
