Fall has arrived, my favorite season. Time to get ready for the winter, time to enjoy the longer evenings and cooler nights. So nice to see the smoke gone. It will be nice to see the woodpile full,

The smoke does add an eerie glow to the morning. The duck hunting party arrives today. Three days of fellowship, dogs, stories old, and new tales spun. Best of luck to the ducks.

Mornin' Inside "the barn" Between the smoke and the rain it is a good day to be inside. Autumn has arrived, the colours are fast changing, Happy B day to Griffin. Looking ahead to a beautiful fall.

One of the hidden gems of our backyard is this 210' high climbing face that is only 11 minuets from the ranch. Carabiners are in place, and there are multiple faces to test your skill, from basic to expert. Even if you don't climb it the geographical anomaly is worth the trip.

The Deer are here! So nice to see the doe's start to show up again. Happy that our little end of the valley seems to be smoke free, for now..
Remember your critters during this poor air quality, no need to work them, easy on their lungs.

Another "Large Day" here at 7 Views. Looking forward to the first group of hunters arriving this Friday.The fishing is picking up, and we are just on the cusp of an explosion of fall colours. Good luck to all competitors in the final Little Britches Rodeo in Merritt this weekend.

'The Ramp" may have been a stroke of brilliance. Made out of woven steel "Crane Matt's" from the 1950's. Most likely left over from the original construction of the ranch. They provide great traction, wheel chair accessibility, and rain and snow just fall right through. The crew built a very easy entrance to the most relaxing spot on the planet.

Hunting season is open, please be extra careful dusk and dawn.

The creek is running clear and steady. It's why I prefer the "Creekside room" to sleep in the sound of "John Frank" creek whispers in your dreams. The first leaves are turning, and the deer are getting close and plentiful. One very curious doe stopped and watched us yesterday afternoon. I need to say a little about Covid. Firstly to the front line HCW's, WOW!! head long into possible personal harm, without a thought to not move towards the danger. I was in the navy, I have been in harms way, to all of you, "we stand is awe of your selflessness.
In that vein, take time, keep distance, stay safe. The staff has been social distancing since the beginning, we will continue to provide a safe, cleen, Covid compliant environment, for as long as it takes.

FACEBOOK!!! RRRR,

There is a lot of columns, far too many columns. And it seems to me that the fine folks at FB have carved multiple trails to get to the same camp. If I do get there you can guarantee I took several scenic routes.

It's not that I'm too old to learn Facebook, it's not that I'm not smart enough, it's not even the fact that my fat fingers touch 9 keys with a single peck. It's just that it is so nice outside it's hard to get into the barn to get enough practice to be good at it. lol I am getting better. I WILL become a booker of faces!!!

Now, once a guest always a guest, to all who have stopped and all who have stayed, drop by for coffee, anytime, always. We want to know how the kids are, we want to know how you are, and we want to see your faces.

Autumn is here, the morning air is sharp. It is the best season😊

"The Girls" (Maggie & Winnie) are looking forward to Amber and family's arrival today. They are going to have an awesome weekend!!
Two deer in the yard this morning, autumn has officially arrived. The deer will be in the yard every morning for the next three months.
Sandhill cranes are migrating south and we are so fortunate to be right on their flight path, the sound they make as they fly over the ranch is amazing.

Wanda and family enjoyed van amazing August long weekend. Grandson JJ split a lot of wood, paddle boarding on Horseshoe lake and the most electric of storms on Friday night, mother nature did not disappoint.When Terry and I were walking past the "Big House" on Sunday evening the laughter rolling across the ranch was inspiring. Coffee (and Bailey's) by the vfire every morning was an easy way to start the day.
Thank you Wanda, we look forward to seeing you again next year.

Mornin' and welcome to 7 Views Ranch.

The ranch is located on the north end of the historic "Brigade Trail." This historic trail was developed from a network of travel and trade routes used by Aboriginal people for centuries. David Stuart of the Pacific Fur Company explored the trail from Fort Okanagan to Kamloops in 1811, and it was used in turn by fur brigades of the North West Company and the Hudson's Bay Company.

John Frank creek rolls around the ranch and provides the soundtrack for your time at the ranch

The Living Room window of "The big house" frames "The Bulman field" This native bunch grass pasture was where during WW1 the Bulmans sold horses. The army required that remount horses be only green broke so they were a little rough in battle. It was joked that remount horses injured almost as many soldiers as enemy fire.
