Pontfaen Villa Holidays offers luxury accomodation in the beautiful Ceredigion hills about 8 miles from the seaside towns of New Quay and Aberaeron. The area offers lots of opportunity for cycling, running and walking. We are dog friendly so no need to leave your 4 legged family members at home. There are beaches in Cardigan Bay that allow dogs year round including one at New Quay and at nearby Cei Bach.
Our properties sit in over 4 acres of land, divided by a quiet country lane. On one side a sweeping driveway leads to Pontfaen Villa while across the lane the 2 glamping pods sit by our little lake. Throughout the year the lake is home to various wildlife including ducks, nesting Canada Geese, swallows, moorhens, dragonflies and even the occasional otter. Red kites and buzzards frequently soar overhead.
The spacious 5 star villa boasting 10 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and 2 additional WCs, sleeps up to 22 and is ideal for group holidays and large family gatherings.
Glorious landscaped gardens and the large patio provide a great space to chill, with a choice of gas and charcoal BBQs. For the kids (big and small), we have a trampoline and plenty of space to run around. The Spa Cabin houses an 8 person hot tub, sauna and shower.
For the competitive, there is a pub style pool table, casino games, air hockey and a fabulous retro arcade table. Take a trip down memory lane with Pac-man, Space Invaders, Galaxian and more. The lounge houses a huge 15 seater sofa and large flat screen TV incorporating Apple TV, Nintendo Wii with lots of games and a Blu-Ray player with an extensive library of films and box sets. We also provide a number of popular board games.
Pontfaen Fach is a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom lodge sleeping 4. Offering spacious open plan living with fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, double oven and dishwasher, dining area and lounge with L-shaped sofa and 55" UHD smart TV. It sits in its own enclosed garden with bbq, outdoor dining, hot tub, sauna and outside shower.
Our stunning glamping pods: Machlud Ar Y Dwr and Porthdy Gwas Y Neidr sit on the banks of the lake, each with lovely views. Built by local craftsmen, these state-of-the-art, cwtchy* homes from home will sleep 2+2 and have everything you need. There is a full-sized double bed, wet room with shower and toilet plus a well equipped kitchenette with induction hob and microwave/grill. The living area features an ingenious fold-out dining table, smart TV and sofa bed which can sleep younger children.
Machlud Ar Y Dwr boasts a spacious deck with a private hot tub, BBQ and dining table and chairs overlooking the lake. A perfect spot to gaze across the water, and watch the sun go down beyond the hill.
Porthdy Gwas Y Neidr also boasts a large deck with hot tub and bbq, and faces the sunrise across the lake.
The lodge and glamping pods benefit from shared laundry facilities in a separate outbuilding.
