Traffic alert 👮‍♂️

We're currently dealing with a serious collision near Bishop Monkton, between Harrogate and Ripon.

The A61 south of Ripon is currently closed.

We're urging drivers to avoid the area if possible or use alternative routes while emergency services remain at the scene.

We're working to reopen the road as quickly as possible.

Reports of a RTC on the between & , the road is currently blocked at this time.

Cumbria Police have asked motorists to avoid the area.

Please find an alternative route, delays in the area.

Officers have assisted North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service at a car fire in Gargrave on the A65

Fire now extinguished and made safe

Thankfully no injuries and no damage to other property

Road is now clear

ONE MORE SLEEP!! 😆 We can’t WAIT for tomorrow and look forward to seeing all of you beautiful people there!!! 🥳 the car park will only be used by the bands, please come on foot if possible as there will be limited parking. We have a few additions to last year and will be doing our very best throughout the day to raise as much money as possible so please bring some cash as there is no card machine for the BBQ etc. We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to The Hub who have very kindly donated some money towards the running costs of this years event. Also a huge thank you to everyone who has helped so far with our preparation. Dave Wildman, Greg Wilson, Mark & Claire Burrow, Will Lea, Bentham Carnival, Joe Piere Morphet Chesters, Bob Woodhouse for the wagon and to all of our wonderful volunteers. ⛔️❌ M6 LANCASHIRE ❌⛔️

🟢ALL LANES NOW OPEN - Expect residual delays which will take time to clear 🟢

M6 southbound closed between J34 (Lancaster) and J32 (Broughton Interchange) due to a Police led incident.
A northbound up and over diversion is in place at J33 (Galgate) using the slip roads.

Traffic diverting via the A6 which is heavily congested as a result.
