Go minimalistic. One of my customers, bless them, turned up with the Big Green Egg BBQ! It weighed so much, you couldn't get it out of their car. Anyhow, I didn't allow it to go and I ended up lending them my BBQ instead. But more importantly, I advise people to go minimalistic and they never listen to me. But when the campervan is full to the brim and there's no room to put your feet on the floor, then I really think Honeybee shouldn't go out on hire. I wanted to write this for some time but I feel prompted right now. Reasons for being minimalistic:
- More space to enjoy Honeybee
- Space for passengers to put their feet on the floor
- Less arguments over space
- Space to make a cup of tea safely
- Able to access the fridge-freezer
- More comfortable for your beloved dog
- Appropriate use of the space in Honeybee
- Less fire and safety risk
- Less accidents are likely to happen, when there is room to move about safely in the camper
How can you go minimalistic? This is what I take, only a suggestion:
Bedding - lightweight quilt, 1 blanket, 1 pillow
Clothing - 1 coat, 2 jumpers, 2 tops, 7 knickers, 7 socks, 2 heavy socks, 2 trousers, pyjamas, jumper blanket, wetsuit
Washing - large towel, wash bag
Footwear - wellies, boots, trainers
Other - binoculars, book
Food - milk, bread, baked beans
I provide a protective bed sheet, small towel and a tea towel.
I keep it simple. I use a campsite launderette. I buy fresh fish and veg when I'm there.
