Baby Sensory classes provide hundreds of sensory development activities that are great fun for parents and babies to share in the vital first year. Baby Sensory is the only Baby Development programme with classes specifically designed for babies from birth. Baby Sensory classes provide hundreds of simple activities that are fun for babies from birth to 13 months. Our baby classes include baby acti

vities ranging from signing to fibre optic light shows, amazing light balls, bubbles and bells; there is always something different. Many of these activities are set to our own Baby Sensory music which is available on CD. What is really exciting about Baby Sensory is that it is an parent and baby group where many of the sensory materials and baby activities are unique to the programme. Each class includes seven different activities each week and a discovery play time, during which baby can enjoy our sensory play area whilst parents have the opportunity to meet. You will be delighted when you see your baby use skills that have been learned in our newborn to 6 month baby classes for the first time.

It is UK Maternal Mental Health Matters Awareness Week - a week-long campaign dedicated to talking about mental illness during pregnancy or after having a baby and signposting to support for all mums.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Motherhood is a beautiful journey but it is not always easy. It can be overwhelming and lonely raising your precious little ones. Social media doesn’t always reflect this, but honestly it is more common than you would believe. You are not alone 💚 With as many as 1 in 5 mums developing Mental health illness from pregnancy to 12 months after the baby’s birth.

Our classes are a safe space for all, you are welcome to contact anytime if you need to move to a different class, have any worries about anything, need any support, the list goes on. We try to accommodate you as best as we can to try and take the stress out of attending our classes.

If you are feeling low, anxious or depressed most days, it’s important that you seek help. Talk to someone you can open up to about how you are feeling. It may be a family member, friend, a parent from class, me, your GP or Health Visitor or other specialised organisations, see below for a list of a few that may be of use 💚

I was working on one of my projects today and found this sat in my notes section. It’s been sat there since 2021, never shared.
It grabbed me and gave me a shake- a reminder, so much so that I felt a need to share it now.
Some of you might interpret it wrong, but I hope you all see it for what it is, what I was trying to say when I wrote it and what I’m trying to say now…

It’s us, the mother’s. We’re the problem.
We’re not looking after ourselves.
If we’re ‘whole and full’, our children will be.

Look after the mothers and the children will flourish.
Look after the mothers and the children will grow, not just older but in strength, integrity and into who they want to be.
Look after the mothers and a community will appear.

You are deserving.
You are enough.

🌟 Did you know that the highest of standards are kept with regards to cleanliness!

💚All props and equipment are thoroughly sanitised between each session.
💚Mats are wiped down and disinfected between each session.
💚Toys in our play area are sanitised between each session.
💚And at the end of the week everything is thrown in the washing machine! Even the ball pit!!!
💚Our babies explore on our already cleaned mats to protect them from what may be on the floor.

🌟We want to make sure that everything remains hygiene for your baby to keep them safe from all those microorganisms! 🦠

Hello everyone! I wanted to share with you a snippet from my home town. This is my brother’s school choir who have been selected to participate in the Golden Voices competition. It is a beautiful representation of Durban, South Africa. For those of you who are new to Baby Sensory, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Nicole. I am the owner of Lancaster Baby Sensory. I currently run Baby Sensory in Lancaster, Morecambe and Wyre. If you haven’t already guessed, I am originally from South Africa, where I worked as a Primary School Teacher specialising in SEN education for 8 years. After having my daughter and attending Baby Sensory in Ulverston, I decided that this is exactly what I want to do. Baby Sensory combines everything that I love about teaching and being a mother in one. I absolutely love my job and I feel honoured to be able to be a part of your baby’s first year of life! Some of my qualifications include: 🌟Qualified Primary School Teacher 🌟Honours in Inclusive Education 🌟First Aid Trained 🌟Baby Sensory trained which includes an extensive Baby Learning and Development course Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries! 🌟Light and Sound activities!🌟 💚Did you know that musical instruments help your baby with motor skills, social skills and cognitive development! 💚Music at an early age can help children express themselves and share feelings. 💚Research shows that classical music primes the brain to solve spatial problems more quickly! 💚Did you know that light activities help with learning about shapes, size and dimensions. 💚They help to calm the senses and regulate emotions.
