‘We have just spent an amazing 5 nights at Oakdean Cottages. It was a real family affair as we rented all 3 cottages because we were going to a wedding and then we topped off the celebrations with a BBQ and another family get together at the cottages. Anna, Ian and Sue were so accommodating. They made the excellent recommendation for the BBQ company and made sure our stay was the best ever. ‘Immaculate cottage in a lovely setting. Very nicely supplied with towels, dressing gowns etc. Milk and orange juice were in the fridge with tea and coffee. The owners were lovely. There are lots of nice restaurants and wine bars nearby and despite being in the countryside uber was cheap and only 10 mins away when we used them. ‘Outstanding. Immaculately clean with quality furniture and appliances. Beautiful grounds and the atmosphere is so relaxing. There is a lovely walk to Dean Clough reservoir from the property with the benefit of seeing the gorgeous alpacas in a field nearby. Owners are friendly and helpful without being obtrusive. This was our third visit and we will certainly visit again.‘ We love seeing our guests return - it means the world to us! ‘Staying at Oakdean Cottages was the perfect addition to our wedding at the beginning of December 2023. We were made to feel so welcome, it was like staying with friends. There were even toys in the cottage for our boys to play with, and a couple of gifts too! The whole experience felt like pure luxury, from the coffee machine to the under floor heating! Will be returning as often as we can.’ A HUGE thank you to Will & Kirsty for this lovely review but also to all our guests who chose to spend Christmas & New Year with us We were fully booked and are now getting bookings for Christmas 2024! 🎉Appreciate all the support especially given the current climate. ‘Our second visit to Ian and Sue’s premises and it did not disappoint. The cottage was immaculate and the layout makes living easy and underfloor heating helps when the weather is cold. An excellent gateway to the Ribble Valley and the Lake District. Great value and by far the best of the 7 Airbnb properties we’ve stayed at. 5⭐️’ Thank you John for your lovely review and for travelling all the way from Australia to stay with us! So lucky to have such lovely guests.

‘If you’re looking for a hassle-free, beautiful place to stay with young children, Oakdean cottages is the place to be. Everything we needed for our 1-year-old son and four-year-old daughter was set up and spotlessly clean when we arrived - travel cot, high chair, bath seat and even toys and colouring books. Sue, Ian and Anna anticipated our every need - so lovely to arrive to after a long journey. Thank you! We can’t wait to come back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ‘ Thank you for your lovely review ❤️

Looking for somewhere to charge your electric car? Well that won’t be a problem Ian and his pals have been busy installing a cable so an electric charger can be fitted right next to your cottage! So you can charge your wheels without interrupting your holiday.

‘We spent a fantastic week in Ribble Cottage, what a find! The cottage was beautifully clean and well presented with everything you need for a comfortable home from home stay. The location is superb, set in idyllic countryside with glorious walks but close to shops and restaurants. Being able to walk from the door without using the car was also a real treat. Well… you’ll never guess what. Oakdean Cottages just won ‘Quality Tourism’ in the 2023 Ribble Valley Stars in Tourism awards! Having opened their doors a decade ago, Ian and Sue Sherrington have welcomed hundreds of guests to the Ribble Valley from all over the world. Now, a tiny team of 3, we feel very honoured to have won this award in the company of such amazing local businesses today. We are over the moon! Thank you to everyone who nominated us, to Ribble Valley Tourism Association to our fellow nominees and to Bashall Barn for being the hosts with the most.

It’s the 10 year anniversary of and we are celebrating! 🎉🥂👏Hard to believe that these cottages once used be an old piggery but together, Ian and Sue built these cottages themselves and made them into the ‘idyllic home from home’ they are today.
