Withy Cottages are situated down a quiet lane on the edge of the beautiful Somerset Levels where they combine peace and tranquillity with the convenience of being easy walking distance to Langport with its pubs, restaurants and shops. Ideal for weekly, mid week or weekend stays for families, couples on a romantic holiday or special interests such as walking, bird watching, fishing and visiting the

many national trust houses and historic monuments nearby. Huish Episcopi and Langport are situated at the heart of the beautiful Somerset Levels mid-way between the county town of Taunton and Yeovil. The ancient beauty and diverse wildlife of the area makes it one of the landscapes that have inspired many artists and photographers as well as drawing visitors from all over the world. The ancient Muchelney Abbey is less than 2 miles from Huish Episcopi and Glastonbury Tor is only 12 miles away. Dating from the early 1800's these blue lias stone cottages would have originally been thatched. It is believed that Withies were washed in the stream that runs in front of the cottages which were then stripped and dried in the back gardens before being made in to withy products. The cottages have been tasefully renovated with many original features restored, we have decorated and furnished the cottage as if we were to be living there ourselves and we believe that we have made a truly comfortable home from home using only the very best to ensure that your stay with us is a wonderful experience. Withy Cottages each has two bedrooms – one double and one twin, bedrooms have ample storage space. Its cosy sitting room has an open fire together with 2 comfy sofas a dining table that seats four and Freesat TV. The cottage has gas central heating a fully equipped kitchen. Outside there is a private sunny patio area with seating for 4 with a BBQ. Bathroom has a bath with shower with luxury towels, robes & toiletries.

We know we haven't been posting as much recently however, we've been busy training these 2 new staff members! 🐈🐈‍⬛

Only a few more weeks and they will be allowed outside, ready to meet and greet all of our guests!

Our chickens have been a little unsettled due to the storm so we brought in our chief chicken whisperer to calm them down! 🐤🐥😍

They love the attention and the treats they get when they get visitors.

If you are visiting and you want to feed the chickens or your children want to collect the eggs in the morning please let us know, we love little helpers!

With 3 holiday cottages and the vintage caravan we always need so much fire wood!

We don't believe in having to pay for all the extra things when you are on holiday. That's why all the wood, coal, charcoal, firelighters and kindling are free! We always put some in the cottages but we also have stores around the place where you can just help yourself.
