We’re incredibly proud of our Iceland team who have worked hard to be able to attend COP28 in Dubai this month 🇦🇪🇮🇸Adventures For Students Iceland

The Global Ecovillage Network has three events at this year's COP28. For the first year, UNESCO & the UN are launching a Greening Education Hub. We are delighted to join with two events exploring the ecovillage approach to regenerative education and climate action.

Happy new year everyone, after a fairly quiet year we are excited to finally get moving again in 2023 🥂🎉🌍

2022 saw us part fund and staff two trips to the Ukrainian/Romanian border helping those most at need and meeting some amazing people along the way. 🇺🇦

Our Iceland office has made amazing progress working with many groups and young people across both Iceland and Europe. 🇮🇸

After taking a Summer break from social media, we’re back with some brand new content including testimonials, throwback videos and fact files.

Summer 2019 was our busiest summer to date, with the season lasting 86 days! We were lucky to be able to take students all over the world to places such as China, Australia, and one of our favourites, South Africa.

We could talk to you all day about the different highlights of our trips, but we know that it’s always better to hear it from someone who has been in your position. So let’s kick off our new set of posts with this testimonial from the group leader of our 2019 trip to South Africa.

Our final mission statement is Sport. As well as our amazing volunteering and educational trips, we will soon provide fantastic soccer camps in Iceland where young people will be given the opportunity to be taught new skills by coaches from the UK whilst playing the sport they love.

Our next destination to introduce is the Philippines, a brand new country for Adventures For Students to work with! Here we offer the opportunity to get involved in an exciting environmental project working alongside local farmers, learning about the impacts of climate change and how it has an effect on local islanders.

As well as helping to provide the facilities for children in rural communities to thrive, we’re also passionate about looking after the environment and conserving the beautiful nature around us. Our Icelandic team are leaders in sustainability and environmental projects and we can’t wait to share them with you, with exciting new projects also coming to the UK very soon!

We believe that it is vital to inspire young people to make a difference in communities around the world through our volunteering and sustainability projects.

Our next location to introduce is The Gambia, which is one of our newest and greatest locations. Adventures For Students work alongside Gambian Schools Trust to deliver life changing community orientated projects in West Africa, including renovation and regenerative volunteering projects. Our Gambian trips provide young people with the opportunity to travel to a beautiful country while making a real difference within the local community with a charity that we work hard to support.

Our next location to introduce to you is South Africa, where our programme is based in the beautiful Eastern Cape. This country is perfect for students wanting to embrace local culture and give back to the community whilst visiting the breathtaking sceneries the country has to offer. Our volunteer programme in South Africa includes childcare, renovation and teaching with a local charity supported by Adventures For Students.

Our second country to introduce to you is Iceland, which is home to our second Adventures For Students base, run by our friendly Icelandic team. Iceland offers amazing educational and sports opportunities, as well as visits to mesmerising waterfalls and stunning landmarks. Our Icelandic team are leaders in sustainability and environmental projects which we look forward to piloting soon!
