And that is a wrap!

What a week this has been! I feel like I have definitely pushed myself outside my comfort zone this week! You see for an introverted extrovert like me, I struggle to manage my energy if I am out and about interacting with a lot of people in one go! While I have become very mindful about my diary management in the past few years, I also can get greedy to be in the company of amazing souls and so this week, I have really pushed myself to show up!

And 'show up' it has been! I have had some of the most uplifting conversations with individuals who have inspired me, supported me and championed me and my work.

💫 I have attended some brilliant network events this week including the event which was such good fun!

💫 I attended a brilliant 'Tough at the top' network event organised by Charity Horizons - they have some great events/meetings lined up, make sure to check these out.

💫 Kickstarted a group coaching programme that I am leading on for the

💫 Finalised the training content for an training programme we are launching for a client next month.

💫 Had some brilliant 1-1s with fellow valued led businesses and we have started plotting plans for exciting online/offline training packages- more to be announced soon.

💫 Managed to catch up with and who continue to inspire me.

💫 Met some incredible who I will have the absolute joy to Mentor through a funded programme.

💫 This morning, I am also going to go for a walk and talk session with a kindred soul.

And if I am being honest to myself, then I am so looking forward to my solo walk in the woods tomorrow, I need to be with myself, in silence 😅

Whatever you are doing, I hope you manage to spend sometime with yourself and your flow.

January is a tricky month for many...it comes with its own hopes, goals, pressures and anxiety! But unlike previous years, I have not been in any rush to set any major, life defining goals for me or the business this year. It will happen....that is not to say that I don't believe in the power of settings intentions or goals but this year, I am trusting the 'flow' and trusting that the year gone and all that I have worked on will pave the way for what will come ahead!

And in many ways, it already has! We at TPL Experiences have already started work on two year long pieces of development and strategy programmes for two remarkable clients. We have already got the go ahead to start another project and we have just been commissioned by an arts organisation to work on their strategy. In a way, the past year has already helped us to set the tone for this year.

So let the world not force you to think of you, goals, everything and perhaps lets take sometime to reflect on the past, honour it and acknowledge it! After all, if you don't know where you've come from, you don't know where you're going! Right?

"Life’s value is hidden in contrasts. To know great sorrow is to know great joy. To know great grief is to know great love."

I have been thinking about this quote a lot, lately!

2024 has been a year filled with countless experiences, remarkable people, unforgettable moments, and accomplishments that I hold close to my heart. Yet, as fulfilling as it has been, I am so ready to embrace 2025 and I hope that it brings love and hope to all of us.

Professionally, 2024 has been nothing short of transformative. We have reached new heights with the clients we have collaborated with and the projects we have delivered, and I am genuinely so eager to carry this momentum forward into this year.

As I reflect and (very slowly) change gears to pick up the pace a bit, a reminder to myself—and perhaps to anyone who needs it—is to be more present. There is so much joy to be found in the here and now, we just need to be more present in the moment!

At the heart of this year’s State of People Strategy Report is the relationship between HR and managers. This partnership isn’t new, it’s foundational.

For the past few years, we have been supporting our clients in the sector on and their Boards. While as a sector, we have a LONG way to go to build greater within Boards, it has been interesting to see that there is generally greater awareness of the importance of investing time and resources for Boards.

Can you release the uncertainty that doesn't serve you?

This was the question posed by my yoga teacher earlier this week. There was something about this question that stuck with me. In life as in work, we all go through countless moments of uncertainty which can often result in anxiety, stress and in some cases panic attacks too. These could range from uncertainty whether your train will arrive on time to if your proposal will be selected to if you are going to land that job and everything in between! And while it is extremely hard to release this uncertainty out of our system, it is also very important that we do because that uncertainty is actually draining us out!

So then as we set off for this day, can we intentionally, help ourselves by releasing a little bit of the uncertainty that is holding us back?

THAT IS ALL

Did you know that TPL's journey in this country actually started by being an experience based business specialising in Team Building? You see, coming from India with a truckload of global experience did not quite make the cut as a 'Strategy Consultancy' back then! This is because and I quote the feedback received from someone in my early days- "What will you coming from India teach us about Strategy development! We have enough and more local players holding this space, we may not have space for an outsider to join!"

And so I decided to take a slightly different route and do what I used to do A LOT of back in India (along with my consultancy work) i.e plan team building events for my clients. I am very thankful that I decided to take this route because it allowed me to get a first hand experience of so many brilliant events/activities/experiences across the region. Experiencing such a variety really helped me deliver some truly 'out of the box' team building ideas for our clients. We are grateful that those who gave us 'a chance' in our early days still continue to partner with us, seven years on!

We simply love it when we get to use our to come up with out of the box, activities to get the teams together! With Christmas just a few weeks away, we are looking forward to delivering a series of experiences for our clients!

What are your plans? How are you celebrating Christmas with your team?

What do I mean by Community Engagement and Creating Impact?

Over the past few years, TPL Experiences has strategically introduced as a core part of our story. It has probably been one of the best decisions I have made as a because it has enabled us to not just expand our reach but more importantly, it has enabled for , a word that is probably used by me everyday! I am a sucker for and that is why it gives me great to see one more of our projects deliver incredible impact for its participants. I and an incredible team of have been working with plus individuals to support them with their . It has been a privilege to create this group and it has been heartwarming to see the ripple effects this project continuous to have on this community.

Morning!

How was your weekend?

Hopefully not as hazy as this picture! ;-p

I missed out on doing my weekly roundup on Friday last week as I was determined to get on top of all my emails and have no unread messages in my mailbox- did not quite happen because people reply to your replies- how annoying! 😂 😂

Anyway, last week was quite a busy one with a mix of training deliveries, planning, and plenty of time spent on admin tasks. However, I believe my greatest accomplishment was managing to fit in time for dancing, practicing yoga, and going for walks. I can be inconsistent with my personal time routine, so this was a significant achievement for me. :)

What did I end up getting on with last week? -

✅ Delivered three audit calls for three leaders

✅ Delivered on for a large MNC based in Newcastle

✅ Started work on designing an report for an Arts organisation based in Leeds

✅ Developed a few training materials for the leadership programme's next cohort.

✅ Finalised details of a project we will be running next year for a group.

I have come to realise that being an extroverted introvert means that I tend to feel lot more calm and in control when my weeks have the right balance of 'being out there' and 'sitting quietly and getting s**t done!' 😀

Anybody else feels this too?

For my lovely arts and culture network- have you read this report by Clore Leadership? I was fortunate enough to be invited to join one of the Leadership Assemblies earlier this year where I along with many other incredible leaders and Consultants from the Arts and Culture sector brainstormed on how can we navigate the world of work more effectively!

A really useful and insightful report and a must read, I specially liked the Interventions for change framework (love a framework)

If you can spare an extra ten minutes, I would definitely recommend you watching the video featuring Jo Verrent, it is so spot on!

What do people talk about you, when you are not in the room?😀

While growing and sustaining our business for good, one of the things that I have been extremely conscious about is being true to our values of 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁, 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲, 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁- 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻.
This has been particularly good to reflect back on as we have onboarded lots of new in the past four years.

You see, far too often, I have seen that growth not always equates to greater quality of results! And so I am chuffed that our clients, representing continue to trust us, champion us and hold us accountable to our own standards of delivery!

Testimonials like these 👇 really help us to keep striving to push further and we are eternally grateful to build consistent impact for our clients.

31/10/2024

For me, Diwali is not so much about celebrating a religious festival as it is about celebrating the essence of this festival. The essence for me (And every person celebrating this may have their own reasons to celebrate!) is to celebrate the light in each one of us, the light that allows us to be kind, respectful and honest to ourselves and others.

I may not be a very religious person but the story of the good triumphing over the evil (Lord Rama killing the evil demon Ravana in the epic- Ramayana) is a great reminder of the fact that all of us sit on a spectrum of emotions, we all have the characteristics of Rama (good) and those of Ravana (Bad) in us and we also have the innate wisdom to make a choice of where we sit on this spectrum, every single day.

So regardless of whether you celebrate Diwali or not, I respect and honour the light (good) in you today and everyday.

Happy Diwali 🙏 😁
