Please note the following changes in the Travel Advisory which will be effective PK9702/24 Feb 2022. It shall *NOT* be applicable on today's LON flight, repeat it will NOT be applicable today. Further, these changes are applicable ONLY on PIA flights. For other airlines please refer to their representative offices.
• PCR test has been abolished for Fully Vaccinated passengers effective Feb 24, 2022 for inbound passengers travelling to Pakistan.
• PCR test (within 72 hours) is required for 06-18 years, if not fully vaccinated.
• Below 6 years; fully exempted from PCR test and vaccination
• All other passengers above 18 years need to be fully vaccinated for travel to Pakistan.
• Vaccination is exempted for 12-18 years old (Pakistani passport holders) till March 31, 2022.
• Vaccination is exempted for 12-18 years old (Foreign passport holders) till further notice.
• Vaccination is exempted for the following categories
o Expired Visa/Illegal immigrants/Deportees
o Medical conditions
o Pregnant women

Bad news for PIA

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has refused to lift the ban imposed on the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to travel to European countries and the UK on the basis of the audit conducted by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).

EASA had suspended the authorisation for Pakistani airlines to operate in Europe first for six months and then indefinitely in the wake of PIA’s PK8303 crashing in Karachi two years ago.

On January 5, the ICAO had issued a statement confirming that Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP) and Continuous Monitoring Approach (CMA) audit conducted by its team from November 29 to December 10 had found that Pakistan had addressed the Significant Safety Concern (SSC).

PIA flight from ISB to MAN was dirverted to London today due to low visibility.

Manchester airport has no visibility for flight take off till late tomorrow evening, therefore, this flight will operate from London tomorrow.

Flight is scheduled at 1615 from Heathrow tomorrow.

Those passengers who wish to go home may do so and reach back in the morning. Buses will be arranged tomorrow for passengers to be taken to London.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said anyone arriving in the UK will be asked to take a PCR test for Covid-19 on the second day and must self isolate until they provide a negative test.
So lateral flow test are not valid and acceptable anymore

*MOST URGENT:* CAA Pakistan now requires all inbound passengers aged 6, repeat, SIX years and above to take a PCR test within 72 hours departure of the flight. This requirement will be applicable on all PIA flights effective Aug 09, 2021. Please inform all passengers. PCR test is MANDATORY and no passenger will be allowed to board without it.

Dear Business Partners,
Kindly note that effective March 08, 2021, Govt. of UK has implemented the requirement of filling travel declaration forms before departure of the flights from the UK.

Details to the form and also the permitted reasons to travel are available on the following:

The passengers should have a completed form or saved it on the mobile phone or any other device. They may be required by the airport authorities/police to show it at the port of departure. The passengers may carry evidence to support the reason for travel.

In case the passengers are unable to satisfy the police/airport authorities, they may be liable for a fine.

Please disseminate to all your passengers to avoid any inconvenience to them.

Complete a travel declaration form to confirm that you are legally allowed to travel abroad from England.

All passengers travelling from Pakistan to UK are requested to book their 2 COVID tests for 210£ each as well with their passenger locator form. Over 150 passengers were offloaded from Qatar airways on 16-17 Feb. Now they will pay big amount of money to change their tickets or buy new one. As travel policies change very fast now a days so if you don’t know yourself atleast ask from your agent and confirm everything.

Please be informed that Govt. of Pakistan has NOT, I repeat has NOT extended the restrictions, therefore, the flight PK9702/04 Jan, 2021 shall operate with Pakistani as well as British Nationals with Covidd negative test within 72 hours of flight departure and Pass Track app being installed.

Please note that Manchester Airport has not suspended any airline operation and, therefore, PIA will continue with its flight operation as per the issued schedule.
This rule applies for other airlines as well kindly do not believe on roumors of flight operations being suspended

Chughtai & Islamabad Diagnostic Center are declared black listed and their
PCR test result will not be accepted on any flight operating after 48hrs.

The PCAA (Pakistan Civil Aviation Authy) has issued SOP / travel advisory dated 29 Sep 2020 (attached herewith). same was circulated vide email dtd

Today is first day and it is noted that passengers were not updated by ticket issuing agent for below travel SOP.

All category B stations need COVID-19 -ve test result and IT IS ALSO MANDATORY FOR ALL PASSENGERS traveling to PAKISTAN to down load PASS TRACK APP to enter their personal details or to fill the details through the website https://passtrack.nitb.gov.pk/login and keep 02 copies of same for boarding and for immigration authorities at PAK respectively.

Please circulate to all agents with advise to fill perfoma of Paxs on website https://passtrack.nitb.gov.pk/login with required data input and give two copies of print out to pax, one for check-in staff who will not issue boarding pass without same and one for immigration official on arrival at Pakistan.
