To all my followers, I sincerely wish you a Merry Christmas filled with love, laughter and festive cheer! A huge thank you to all who have joined me on guided walks, rides, talks and other Hidden Histories activities this year - it really has meant a lot! What an awesome day! After the excitement of the Ride Leicester ghost ride, this evening it was a full house for the Hidden Histories of Leicester Haunting Histories of Leicester walking tour! Huge thanks for the 35+ people who came, especially the 2 ladies that drove all the way from North Wales specifically for it!! 😱🙏 Big shout-out to Flo Butler (aka ‘Stick Girl’), Helen Preston, Antony Preston and the girls and Vijay Vega and Selina Vega for coming too!

Scarborough Lecture: Women and Magna Carta

By best-selling non-fiction historical author Sharon Bennett Connolly FRHistS.

Our opening lecture will look at those women who influenced Magna Carta, or lived through it - and those who used it to assert their rights.

7.30pm Thursday 26th September.
Doors open from 7.00pm, with tea and coffee available. The lecture will take place at 7.30pm, at the Rattray Lecture Theatre, University of Leicester, University Road, Leicester (LE1 7RH). Non-members welcome!
