Our free electric bus service Hop! which serves Haymarket bus station and the train station will be extended for BBC Radio 2 in the park this weekend.
Buses will run every 10 minutes until 10.30pm on Saturday and also on Sunday (16 & 17 Sept).

Come to our demo (part of the Divest National Day of Action).
To get County-wide press coverage (which is what we want) we need you and your friends to come and take part from across the City and County.
Join together and tell our local councillors and political parties that we want them to stop their Local Government Pension Scheme from investing in fossil fuel production.
These investments are:
Bad 4 the climate!
Bad 4 the pension fund!
Terrible 4 our futures!

Leicester Cycling Awards Winners:
We are excited to announce the winners of the first ever Leicester cycling awards!

Well done to our winners and all of our nominees, we have been amazed by everything you did on bikes last year. We will be leaving all the nominations up on our website for a while if you haven't yet had a chance to read all of them.

To our winners we will be in contact shortly to arrange you getting your well earned prizes.

A big thank you to everyone else who have taken part by nominating, voting or promoting the awards.

LCSC is a member of Climate Action Leicester & Leicestershire. We would encourage you to signing CALL's petition to encourage Leicestershire Local Government Pension Scheme to divest from fossil fuel companies, especially you are a member of the scheme yourself. Please sign even if you are not a member and pass it on, particularly to anyone you know who works in local Councils, as non-teaching staff in schools or non-lecturing staff in universities, in the police or fire service.

The Leicestershire Local Government Pension Scheme (which Leicester and Rutland are part of) has an estimated £154million invested in fossil fuel companies such as Shell and BP. So long Woody Wood! Thank you for sharing!

Today we gathered to celebrate the full and important life of our founder, a huge warm hearted man who gave more to Leicester's communities and the cooperative scene than any. He was energetic and optimistic activist and an advocate for being together with love as well as very thorough bureaucratic processes. Without Woody, there wouldn't be a Leicester Car Sharing Club and we owe so much to him!

This is an old one, but I've just refound the photo of the cake we got for Woody, whe we thought he was leaving, to say Thank You for the huge efforts he's put into Leicester Car Sharing Club over the last 30 years!

Feeling very appreciative to be part of a car sharing group with such considerate members during this fuel crisis.

It's so great to see the caring way everyone is working together to make sure everyone's needs are met and essential journeys can be made while resources are limited. I wish this was how things were working across wider society. I feel proud to be a part of Leicester Car Sharing Club!
