The Leicester Customer & Training Centre provides customers with a personal and informative experience of the Caterpillar world, allowing them to see for themselves the value in our unmatched product line up as well as the wide range of solutions available. In addition, this facility provides product and solutions-based training to Caterpillar’s vast global dealer network specifically within the Building Construction Products Division.

For the past two days we have been conducting Demo Operator and Dealer Technician product training, this has been a great learning experience for all involved and a fun two days gaining experience operating machines whilst also developing a deeper understanding of our products.

Yesterday we hosted our CAT Employee Recognition Day at the Leicester Customer and Training Centre. This day gives opportunity to our employees across our Desford facility to do challenges on a range of machines, our demo team also ran a session showing a range of features from our machines and attachments.

Our Commercial Connection Programme was a great success yesterday! The day consisted of product walkarounds of our Mini Hydraulic Excavators, Compact Wheel Loaders, Backhoe Loaders and Compact Track/Skid Steer Loaders. We then delivered demos of Cat Command and VisionLink and finished the day with stick time on our machines and tours of the factory.

We've had a wonderful time today hosting our visitors from Bergerat Monnoyeur Romania, our product specialists delivered training on Backhoe Loaders, Material Handling Equipment and Skid Steer/Compact Tract loaders. It was a pleasure hosting this group and we look forward to welcoming you all back tomorrow for an equally enjoyable day of training here at the LCTC.

We are thrilled to have had visitors from Iceland, Canada and Iowa over the last few months at our Leicester Customer and Training Centre.

They were here to explore the product lineup on site, get a tour of the facility and learn about some of the new cutting edge technology and features on our machines!

This week, the Leicester Customer and Training Centre hosted an internal CAT recognition event for those who were seen to go above and beyond for the company!

This consisted of a full line demonstration of all the machines out on show here at the centre as well as machine challenges giving the staff opportunities to operate both Mini Excavators and Backhoe Loaders.

Tip Tuesday 💡 The creeper control function allows you to optimise work tool productivity while also changing your speed for different ground conditions.

Here is a customer trying out the T9 Trencher on a 299D3 XE Compact Track Loader with steel tracks and the land management kit. Check out the external fuel tanks with a built in fire suppression in the engine bay. Does anyone else run a Compact Track Loader?

Our new 305 Mini Excavator has arrived! This obviously means Simon is out cleaning up the demo yard. Using the stick steer feature on the 305 means he can control travel with his left joystick and the dozer blade with his right all whilst staying sat back in his seat. 😎
