Afternoon all

Today we have completed the weekly seal count so we now have more information to share!!

If you are not aware we count every groyne between Waxham and Winterton. This is done by our dedicated count team who do this in all weather!!

This information is also sent and analysed by St Andrews university in Edinburgh who Colate information from breeding grounds around the UK.

So todays count has 714 Adults 61 pups born this week and the current running total is 68!!

We will continue to update you on a weekly basis!

We loved this family-sized cottage. It had everything we needed for a quiet weekend retreat. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a modern kitchen and dining area. The hot tub was a big plus.

We are often asked how suitable the cottage is for working in. If your work benefits from peace and quiet and the ability to take time out for thinking and planning, it works really well. We have a work space and there is Wifi throughout. The cottage is in a lovely rural location and the beach and Broads are close by too which means you can get really deep thinking done. We have had a lot of messages regarding our cafe at Waxham Barn, I thought I’d pop the most frequently asked here:

-You do not need to book your table
-We are dog friendly inside and out (but we do not have the dog huts we had at Winterton Dunes Cafe)
-Breakfast is from 9am - 11.30am and lunch from 11.30am - 3pm
-Onsite toilets
-Free parking
-Wifi
-Open everyday 9am - 4pm
-Outdoor and indoor seating
-Card and cash payments
-We serve both GF and Vegetarian options ( and Vegan when we can ) as well as a range of dairy free milk alternatives

And finally we are located in Waxham, just past Horsey!
