Fancy coming to the forge and making a unique and special gift for a loved one or to keep for you? I have spaces in November and December available now.

I've popped a link to the booking calendar in the comments below.

You don't need any previous experience of working on a forge or with metal - you will learn all you need to make something by hand to take home and treasure, or gift to a loved one.

I think that is so much nicer than buying something off the shelf and you get to experience being a blacksmith for a day!

Fancy being a blacksmith for a day? No previous experience is required, you will learn some basic blacksmithing techniques and go home with something you have made from scratch, using the forge, anvil, hammer and your energy!

I teach traditional methods (no power tools here).

I have two forges and two anvils so there is no sharing of equipment (unless you choose to make a group booking) - there is lots of tuition and help on hand, as well as the chance to get on with it and truly learn a little more about this ancient craft 'hands on'!

You can book a full day for one or two (small discount for two spaces booked at the same time), or you can book a half-day for two.

I've popped a link to the calender in the comments below, where you can see my availability and costs etc.

Hope to see you at the forge very soon.

September tomorrow and time to book a day at the forge!

Don't hang around, I only have spaces at the beginning of the month (see link in comments below for availability)

As the kids go back to school, you may need a little de-stressing and what could be better than using a hammer on the anvil and creating something unique to take home enjoy! It doesn't matter if you have never tried blacksmithing before, complete novices very welcome.

Look forward to welcoming you to the forge!

It's cooling down - time to book a trip to the forge?

I've popped a link in the comments below to my calendar, so you can see availability and get your date booked in.

Come on your own, or with a friend (small groups also welcome, you will be sharing equipment if you are three or more). No previous experience is necessary, just a desire to try something new, or rekindle an old skill, use your hands and made something from scratch using traditional blacksmithing techniques!

Based at Standalone Farm in Letchworth - people from all over the world have visited the forge - will you be next?

Are you around in August? Plenty of availability at the forge at the time of writing for you to book and come and try your hand at being a blacksmith for the day! An alternative day out this summer.

I've popped the link for my online calendar in the comments below, so you can see availability and get your day out with a difference sorted in good time.

Here's a picture of me 'hand-modelling' for Blaze TV who were promoting in the UK a bit ago! The things you do.......

I can't promise hand-modelling will be involved when you visit, but a good day, with the fruits of your labour to take home and enjoy, as well as learning some new skills, using your hands and getting a little worn out in the process.

No experience is necessary. Hope to see you at the forge this summer.

I finally got around to starting the Esty Shop! (Can you tell that someone must be home from Uni to have helped in this mission!)

Now you can buy some additional hand-forged bits (made by me) without coming to the forge, or to add to the things you already made!

Perfect pressies for the summer season, once it gets going! Or a unique hand-made gift.

Half-term availability:

Full day for one or two Friday 31st May
Half day for two Sat 1st June

I recommend a half-day for the younger ones, these are for two people only. Ideal from aged 12 and above (must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the health and safely briefing please).

A full day can be booked by one or two people.

No experience is necessary, you will learn some new skills and go home with something you have created using the forge, anvil and hammer only (no power tools involved), learning some traditional blacksmithing techniques along the way!

Link to my booking calendar is in the comments below. Hope to see you for a different sort of activity this coming half-term.

Looking for something different to do this coming half-term, why not plan a visit to the forge!

For the younger ones, I recommend a half-day (which is only for two) so you can join in with them, learn a new skill and each come home with something you have made with your own hands. A real unique experience, shared together, and a talking point for years to come!

Ideal from aged 12 and above (a little younger can take part, as long as you feel they have the stamina for the activity) and no previous experience is necessary.

Please visit the online calendar to book (link in comments below) and click on the date that suits you.

If you cant' see the date you want, do please ask as I can sometimes juggle the diary.

Hope to see you at the forge this half-term!

Do something different this May - book a day at the forge and try your hand at being a blacksmith.

I have some weekday and weekend availability next month (as well as some slots in half-term). You do not need any experience, you can be a complete novice, or someone who has a fond memory of metalwork from school and would like to try again!

If you click on the link in the comments below, that will take you to my online calendar where you can choose a date to suit.

Hope to see you at the forge!
