A brilliant way to get around Wensleydale and beyond, we often do a longer linear walk using the Little White Bus and they are dog friendly 👌

Wensleydale Flyer 856, operated by Dales And District Bus Services, continues unchanged over winter, running every Sunday.

Buses link Northallerton, Bedale, Leyburn, Aysgarth & Hawes (for Dales Countryside Museum and Wensleydale Creamery Visitor Centre)

All bus fares are still capped at £2 Adult, £1 for Under 19s

Hop on board and explore Wensleydale in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park.

"I’ve hired cottages since 1983, and this is the best yet! The location is spectacular with great views of the castle and Pen Hill.
The neighbours were very friendly and helpful during our visit.
The cottage itself is clearly very loved by the owners, it was cosy, warm when needed, beautifully maintained and furnished throughout. It was absolutely perfect in every respect.
Castle Bolton is a very lovely Dales village, the market town of Leyburn is a few miles away and has shops, pubs and restaurants. Tesco at Catterick has everything you would need in terms of provisions for your stay.
In terms of local eateries I would highly recommend Redmire Village Pub for its friendly staff, excellent choice of beers and great pub food. Similarly, The Wheatsheaf at Carperby, simply wonderful food and drinks, the staff are fantastic.
If you want a lovely cottage in a stunning location go to Lawson Studio, you won’t be disappointed."

Hear about mysterious goings on as you tour the castle, end the evening with a glass of wine while you sit by the fire for more spooky tales.
