A brilliant way to get around Wensleydale and beyond, we often do a longer linear walk using the Little White Bus and they are dog friendly 👌

Wensleydale Flyer 856, operated by Dales And District Bus Services, continues unchanged over winter, running every Sunday.

Buses link Northallerton, Bedale, Leyburn, Aysgarth & Hawes (for Dales Countryside Museum and Wensleydale Creamery Visitor Centre)

All bus fares are still capped at £2 Adult, £1 for Under 19s

Hop on board and explore Wensleydale in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park.

"I’ve hired cottages since 1983, and this is the best yet! The location is spectacular with great views of the castle and Pen Hill.
The neighbours were very friendly and helpful during our visit.
The cottage itself is clearly very loved by the owners, it was cosy, warm when needed, beautifully maintained and furnished throughout. It was absolutely perfect in every respect.
Castle Bolton is a very lovely Dales village, the market town of Leyburn is a few miles away and has shops, pubs and restaurants. Tesco at Catterick has everything you would need in terms of provisions for your stay.
In terms of local eateries I would highly recommend Redmire Village Pub for its friendly staff, excellent choice of beers and great pub food. Similarly, The Wheatsheaf at Carperby, simply wonderful food and drinks, the staff are fantastic.
If you want a lovely cottage in a stunning location go to Lawson Studio, you won’t be disappointed."

🏰Castle by Lanternlight Tour 🕯️Monday 28th October, 6-8pm

Hear about mysterious goings on as you tour the castle, end the evening with a glass of wine while you sit by the fire for more spooky tales.

Booking online essential. Numbers are limited to 30 people and includes a glass of wine / soft drink. Tickets are £20 per person.

The most special place, you can do a lovely circular walk from Marske or drive directly there. Free range goats!!!

Winter at Helwith Tea Garden:
We’ve decided to CLOSE at the end of September for winter, re-opening March 30th, when the clocks go forward again.
For the rest of September we’re open 1030-4 every day except Tuesdays. As well as the usuals if we know you’re coming we’ll be making soup to serve with Wynn’s lovely fluffy buns 😊 And we’ll light the fire!

Mmmm a rather delicious Summer alternative to the traditional pub Sunday Lunch 😋 Such a professional set up with lots of choice in a beautiful setting *highly recommended*

The Cover Bridge Inn now offers a wonderful BBQ menu and we tried it for you!

Just park at Jervaulx Abbey and it's a beautiful couple of miles walk to the historic pub for lunch - all very dog friendly too.
