Walking down towards Aysgarth Falls we came across a field full of lilac flowers. Thousands, millions? How do you count them all? So beautiful yet I’ve no idea what they were. Anyone have any ideas? Must perhaps go back to take a much closer look and identify. The falls looking stunning as usual too.

The lovely weather just keeps on going with a sprinkling of rain in the evening to keep everything fresh. Long may it continue! My walk yesterday took me to the Cauldron Falls in West Burton, not a lot of water coming down but so very pretty. Too early for the wild swimmers, or maybe they had already been!

My walk today, not too far, about three miles. Along Spickles, which is so over grown in places, on to Thoralby and back to West Burton. Just glorious! Hope you’ve been enjoying the sun too today.
