✨ The future of our industry is bright, as we officially share that Lilybea Taylor of Access Bookings is the 2025 Chris Peacock Young Champion of Change🏆

beam announced the winner and two runners-up of the award at our annual Gala Dinner on Friday night at The Grand Hotel, Birmingham. The award celebrates young professionals making an outstanding impact in the events, meetings, and hospitality industry.

Lilybea's leadership in operational efficiencies, supplier relationships, and community engagement set her apart.

A huge congratulations also to our runners-up, Lucy Newman ( Inntel ) and Tori Smith ( Edgbaston Park Hotel Birmingham ), who are making incredible strides in sustainability, business growth, and team development.

Thanks again to our judges, Kaarin Chadwick, Michelle Barrett Nogueira, Martin Stephens, led by Andrew Deakin - they certainly had some tough decisions to make on this one.

And congratulations to all the finalists - we are proud to celebrate young professionals and continue Chris Peacock’s legacy by championing the next generation of changemakers - we hope you'll join us in celebrating these stars🌟

As National Apprenticeship Week comes to a close, we're reminded of the importance of investing in the next generation of skilled workers, so that's who we want to celebrate for Celebration Friday! 🎉

The a-team wanted to give a massive shout-out to all our apprentices, past and present! You're at the heart of what we do, and we're so proud to have you in the Access Bookings family. Whether you're just learning the ropes, or you've been with us for a while, your energy and fresh ideas make a real difference.

We're not just saying this because it's National Apprenticeship Week – we mean it all year round. You're a vital part of our team, and we're excited to see what amazing things you'll achieve.

We're celebrating the journey of our assistant operations manager, Dan Guiver! 🎉 2025 marks Dan's 10th year with Access Bookings - his skills and loyalty over the years have been invaluable to Access and we are so excited to be able to share his incredible achievement with you all.

Reflecting on his journey at Access Bookings, Dan says he is incredibly grateful for the flexibility and support the company has shown him over the last decade.

"When I needed to return home overseas, they stood by me as an employee – no questions asked. They've also invested in my growth too, supporting me through two apprenticeships to further my career development."

We've loved all the time you've spent working with us Dan, you're an irreplaceable member of the a-team and we are so grateful for all the help you've given us. Here's to many more years with you 🥂

It’s National Apprenticeship Week!🎉

We recognise the value of apprenticeships at Access and we want to celebrate this week to the fullest so we’re kicking it off with a feature from our HR Business Partner Daniel Aston Assoc CIPD. 👇

Dan is the first point of contact for all areas of apprentices/work experience. He is always on hand for any support or help for both the person and the department in finding and sourcing the right qualification that is achievable whilst they work. Dan says “Apprenticeships offer an excellent opportunity to kickstart your career, allowing you to earn while you learn. Access’s apprenticeship scheme is perfect for those looking to break into industries like travel, TV, media, and film, while also providing opportunities in fields such as IT, accounting, business administration, and sales & marketing. For anyone eager to gain real-world experience beyond the classroom, an apprenticeship might be the ideal path forward!”

One of his colleagues Rhia Oliver says this about Dan:
“Dan goes above and beyond we always hear him helping to provide examples and help for the written elements to those undertaking the qualifications as well as directly liaising with the schools, often doing the mock interviews and giving really good examples to the students of ‘other options’ beyond sixth form rather than just university.”

We are so grateful for everyone behind the scenes who helps our apprentices achieve all that they can and create a supportive learning environment, giving AB apprentices chance to develop their own essential skills for life! ❤️

We loved the view from the rooftop at the The Trafalgar St. James, Curio Collection by Hilton!❤️The A-team had a great time at the Hilton Entertainment Event last week.😀

We were given a massive thank you by Jack Webb, our account manager, for our inputs in the ‘voice of the customer’ session where we got the chance to talk about film & production within the entertainment industry!

The star-studded Broadcast awards took place last night and as a leading provider of travel management for the media industry, we were delighted to sponsor the first ever Hall of Fame award 🤩!

Our very own Wass congratulated James Corden and mingled with production and casting crews from film and television to ensure their travel management is being effectively organised right around the clock.
