Wall was an important staging post, offering weary Roman officials, soldiers and imperial messengers a place to stop off and change their horses.

At Wall today you can still see the remains of an inn for travellers and the public baths. Call into the museum for an insight into life here and discover many excavated finds.

There’s so much to discover in Lichfield Cathedral, with over 1300 years of history in the only medieval three spired Cathedral in the UK. While you’re there, look out for the medieval wall painting, the famous Herkenrode stained glass, the Lichfield Gospels (700AD) and the Lichfield Angel.
