A citywide history festival is coming to Lincoln for the first time in May as part of City of Lincoln Council’s ongoing events programme, Events in Lincoln.

📅 4 - 6 May 2024

The Lincoln Festival of History will allow everyone to enjoy a captivating journey through the ages and transport visitors and residents alike to pivotal moments in Lincoln’s past....

👉 Explore the Roman encampment in the Colosseum Quarter with living history displays in St Paul in the Bail and Castle Square
👉 Witness traditional Roman crafts, pop-up performances, and thrilling gladiator battles! Historical reenactors will parade in the Uphill area, inviting visitors to join in costume.
👉 Don't miss out on historical reenactments at Lincoln Castle, living history at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life, and exciting treasures at the Lincoln Museum.

Visitors can also expect further zone announcements celebrating different time periods in the city, as well as further activity from organisations across the city.
