Tattershall 3-5 Archery....With our youngest now having discovered his inner Robin Hood, we thought we should take part in the 3 to 5 year old archery at Tattershall. Currently this takes place in the archery tent. The children were both given their own bows and arrows and guided through various techniques and games. They had great fun from beginning to end. It was very well led and they were not bored at any point. A fun activity under cover. (Guest pass purchase needed)

Lincoln Cathedral… What a truly magnificent building. We went here with our five and three year old children, I did wonder if they would find looking round the cathedral a bit boring, but they did not! We were lucky enough to visit when the Moon exhibition was visiting. However they do you have plenty for kids to do here at all times. There is a trail around the cathedral, exhibition and activities centre, cafe, play area and lots of exploring to do. We spent a lovely couple of hours enjoying everything there was on offer. And I’m sure if you didn’t have little people with you, you could spend even longer reading all the information on display.

This weekend we were lucky enough to experience one of the new shows that Tattershall entertainment have put on - Believe. It was a great show and really got us in the spirit of Christmas… Here’s a couple of taster pictures, I would really recommend this to all!! The winterfest area outside the Speigel tent is also magical, lots of trees, German style market, they’ve done a brilliant job all round! 🎄 .point36

Tatty the witch is going to be in a twizzle here at Tattershall Castle! 🎃

From Saturday 16 to Sunday 31 October (11am – 4pm, last entry 3pm), come and join the trail in the Great Tower to find Tatty’s lost potion ingredients swiped by her dastardly cat, Midnight. Figure out what potion Tatty is trying to make (£1 per trail in addition to site entry fee). Perfect for some Halloween half-term antics with the children. 🕷🐈

Wolds Wildlife Park. 🦁

Located in Horncastle (which is also worth a walk around). It is a growing Zoo with a unusual collection of animals including bears. Many of the animals that are present at Wolds Wildlife Park have been rehomed from other collections. Well worth a visit. .point36

The Tattershall Park Country Pub and Kitchen. 🍻

This is located just near the entrance to the Tattershall Lakes Country Park but it is not owned by Away Resorts so you do not need the guest passes to visit here. It’s a large pub with a good varied menu to suit all, it has a lovely beer garden and best of all it is walkable from both properties via a cut through from the park. .point36

The Indoor Splash Zone. 💦

This was one the reasons we wanted to visit Tattershall, as we have young kids who love water. It’s brilliant and children love it. If you are choosing to purchase one of the guest passes and have kids it's well worth booking a slot.
The changing rooms are also lovely and are heated, making it better for babies and small children. There’s showers, lockers, vending machines and a small seating area.
It also boasts panoramic views of the lakes and outdoor sun loungers for those hotter days!
(It adjoins the indoor swimming pool and currently two separate time slots need to be booked, these can be back to back) .point36

Tattershall Castle - Well this beautiful castle is within walking distance of our accommodations - you can walk through the park and cut through the fields and you’re there. Its National Trust owned - so membership / entrance fee is required to access the grounds and climb up the many many steps to the top - but we can recommend it as the view is worth it! They run specials events throughout the year - we were lucky enough to visit during the festive night opening a few years ago - it was amazing. (Sadly closed atm - but keep your eye on their website for re-opening details)
