Happily, guests can safely ignore this Lincoln Imp who was turned to stone to put a stop to his chaotic shenanigans! Purchased last year at the Big Craft Event held at the Lincolnshire Showground - it’s on this weekend, Sunday 13th of November - and well worth a visit to discover some of the county’s skilled and talented makers!

Welcome to a special friend for Filly Green Cottage!

Please say hello to Honour, a 6 year old Shire horse and one of the residents at Bransby Horses - Rescue and Welfare. Rescued the day before VE Day in 2017 and named as a mark of respect, the then two year old, abandoned and frightened Honour has become a loving, sweet and docile mare - a testimony to the award winning care she receives at Bransby Horses.

With Filly Green Cottage standing on the grounds of the old stable yard and as our own way of commemorating the horses that were brought through here as part of the war effort, we are pleased to have become one of Honour’s sponsors and look forward to seeing more of Honour and her friends in future!

Special thanks from Paddington to Nettleham Scouts Scarecrow Trail for the opportunity to visit and to everyone for all the smiles this weekend! He’s thoroughly enjoyed his stay, looking out over the village Green and waving to the friendly passers by - the perfect spot for a bear! Thank you for making him so welcome!

Taking the cottage into the future, whilst being a nod to it’s past, the new name reflects it’s position beside the village Green, and the historical site of the old stable yard - paying homage to our equine friends!
