Today our Manager, Richard, attended the Senior Information Network Group (SING) in the Bridge Community Centre. Richard discussed our initiative and gave a presentation on the services of Lagan Valley Rural Transport to members of SING which includes statutory agencies and community / voluntary organisations including Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council Age NI and South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust

MEET THE TEAM

Today we are kicking off Meet LVRT Team, first up is our new Manager, Richard, who started with LVRT 6 weeks ago (you might have seen him on our page or website www.laganvalleyruraltransport.co.uk sharing our services).

Richard has lived his whole life in the Lagan Valley region, having worked in Youth Work, Community Development and Social Care, he has a heart and passion for people and community.

Richard discussed our initiative and the vital role community transport plays in reducing as well as the community to visit local shops, cafes and social activities. Richard also discussed the need for appropriate funding for Community Transport.
