River Barn's new kitchen is complete! It has all-integrated appliances, beautiful solid granite worktops, hand-painted tiles and the same lovely stone floor as before with underfloor heating.

The spa pool is now open after its January break. The steaming hot, sparkling water feels like even more of a treat on a cold day, and can be followed by a spell in the sauna.

Things are coming on nicely in Stable Cottage (sleeps two at one-bedroom price or three at a slightly higher price).

We started work in January, when Holly and Andy moved out, and will be ready at the end of May. If you know Treworgey, you know that in the next few months, this is going to be transformed into a beautiful retreat, with beams and other original features intact, but luxuriously comfortable interiors, with the instantly recognisable Treworgey style and character.

The week beginning 11/12 April is now fully booked in our family cottages, but we do have availability for the week beginning 4/5 April. Our pool will be open and warm, and we'll be running our usual holiday kids clubs, so come and join us if you haven't booked already!

We've just been looking through photos to find some for our friends at , and can't resist sharing some of them with you. Staying at Treworgey genuinely is as idyllic as it looks for children. Looking at these, we can see why Treworgey is such an important and nostalgic place for so many adults who came here when they were kids.

We walked along the coast path to Port Nadler at the weekend. The gorse bushes are blooming so we collected some of these edible flowers, which smell of coconut. Cake and tea back in the warm, with a little touch of the coast to remind us that we'd been out by the sea all day.

A few days of beautiful winter sunshine have reminded us what spring and summer feel like! We can even imagine taking a dip in the pool. Can't wait for that moment to come around!

Driving machinery is a serious business. We know because we've been landscaping around this area (near the playroom) recently in preparation for a new much bigger area for our ride-on tractors. It'll be a while before its ready to ride on, but if you're wondering what's going on up there when you're passing, this is it!

Have you tried our indoor beach? For winter stays, or wet weather days, this is a brilliant place to wear out kids of all ages. Designed and built by Holly's husband Andy, this big barn has badminton, giant building blocks, climbing wall, mechanical sand play and more.

We hope you have all come through the storm without too much damage. We had no power at Treworgey for about 30 hours- the longest outage we've had in many years. We have plenty of work to do to clear fallen trees and damaged fencing, but we feel very lucky that nothing too destructive happened here.
Here's Reuben (age 6), first on the scene to start clearing the lane yesterday morning!
